Had some fun testing out a new-to-me 12 year old camera. Wanted something small and waterproof to chuck in a pocket when I can't carry something more substantial or the weather is nasty. Only shoots fairly crunch jpegs but still does the trick 🤘

In my lineup, the Ambient Curiosity Zine is a curated and more “polished/finished” zine. Vignette is black and white, self printed, and has photocopied covers put together with tape to keep cost down. In other words AC is an official album, and Vignette is a cassette of jams recorded from the radio.

Got the layout finalized for two issues of Vignette (my black and white self printed zine) to do some catch-up from mid to late last year. Love that these are just a collection of little moments. We got kitties, abstract atsy fartsy, birds, street, plants, and indie wrasslin’.

I’m out of holiday hibernation, have some photos from the American Sign Museum from the end of last year. It’s fun to make abstract light paintings and find textures in the overlapping bloom of the neon designs.

Been playing with some Minolta manual lenses and mixing different focusing with the lenses interesting bokeh. The b&w image has some interesting pinhole camera effects from shooting through a leaf that a bug chewed a bunch of holes through.

Sometimes you try to get a photo of a streetcar moving crisply through the street with a blurred background and instead get an abstract image of a light painting with ghost legs. A case where the mistake is infinitely more interesting than what was intended.

Photos from traveling, some of the best don't really work on itty bitty phone screens, so l'll save those for a future print project. I'll be at Zinecinnati in October, come say hi!
