Introduce yourself as an anime character Honestly I know it's taboo but I have so much in common with Usagi. I can be a little childish, I'm a bad cook, a clutz, and math isn't my strong suit, but when it's down to the wire I can buckle down and take on a difficult situation.

I just posted an exclusive WIP update, and some hi-res art members can use as a wallpaper if you'd like! This is a great way to support me if you can't afford a commission, I purposefully tried to keep the tiers affordable 🖤🙏 No pressure, but shares are appreciated 🖤🥰

Don't get me wrong though, positions like these are needed but they need to be implemented correctly.

I absolutely hate door dash & companies like it. They're overpriced, you can't guarantee your food will arrive in a timely matter or at all, not to mention if you don't tip well you may have your food eaten or held hostage. Also they're employees are contract only and they pay shit wages.

The pose is looking good, so I'm sure it'll turn out well!

Escapism in art is the only reason I'm still here. I really want to make things for others to help make their worlds a little brighter. Art saved and continues to save my life, it's my one true passion and love in this life I hope to someday give some of that hope & light back through my stories 🖤🙏

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I'm glad I could help! I can't wait to see what you do with your art!

120

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Who knows though seeing your art, reading your stories could inspire someone!

110

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Escapism is what literally kept me alive for so long. It's probably why I became an artist. TV & books taught me so much, for better or worse. I think if you have a story to tell, tell it. It may not be perfect and might not be loved by everyone, but even if it just helps you it'll be worth it.

110

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Sorry this got long winded, I just hate seeing the world this way 😩

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

All we can do is keep fighting against this racist, sexist, classist, hateful regime. Remember you're not alone in this fight, you can take a rest from it and refresh yourself. It's okay. There are also many ways to fight too. Like with stories, art, & music. Just showing kindness to others helps.

I never considered myself patriotic, but there were times when I was proud to call myself an American. Now though I'm ashamed to say I live in this country, where an orange turd is our leader. That our entire government is a joke. Maybe one day we can take pride in this country again, but for now

110

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I get that and I don't blame you. I was 21 at the time and while I'm only a few years older I remember seeing things improving, heck there were even a few improvements that happened in the years that followed. But with that orange blob at the helm everything became a joke and hate was encouraged.

Just got news the Winston crochet plushies are done! I commissioned these from a local artist in my area. I'd tag her here, but she sadly doesn't have an account on this platform. So check out my Facebook, she'll be tagged on there These will be available at FallCon if you want one #WinstonNFriends

I agree, our country is a disgrace. I'm sickened and appalled by what has happened over the last 10yrs 😩 There was a time when I really thought we were growing as a country, equal pay, same sex marriage, & equal opportunities. Don't get me wrong we've always had problems, but we were making strides.

110

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Same! I love making things and sharing with others. I just want to share that joy! I also love seeing peoples reactions and knowing I was able to bring a smile to someone's face. Art is meant to be enjoyed after all. Also I'm really bad at keeping secrets, even if they're my own.

On this Dolly Day remember to help others in your community and be respectful of others around you, not just today but everyday. That's how we keep Dolly's memory alive. Rest in peace Dolly and know that on this day you will be remembered by many for years to come!

I adored the fact that she helped put books in the hands of children. Some of my husband's young cousins have actually benefited from her literacy program. Since her death so much more has come out about her life, proving she truly was a beautiful human being.

130

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I don't normally share things like this, as I don't wish to profit from someones death, but Dolly was truly an inspiration for me. I always enjoyed her music and had watched a few of her films. Also as someone who always encourages learning and loved reading from a young age,

110

Amber Markoto @ambermarkoto.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I made this drawing of her in my WNF style earlier this year as a fun nod to the amazing work she did in helping to support literacy for kids, I never thought I'd be sharing it in honor of her memory.

Like many others I'm still saddened by the loss of Dolly Parton this year. She was an amazing woman and an inspiration to many!

I've been obsessed with The Isle lately. It's PVP and a bit tough to get set up at first but once it's running it's fun. It's basically a dinosaur simulator and I love it.
