Our characters have discovered an incredible stone structure on an alien planet but unbeknownst to them, they are being watched! #kidlitart #kidlituk

A cloaked figure stands on top of a mountain looking down into a valley of a planet that is not unlike ours. At the bottom of the valley is a stone structure resembling a square headed figure. It has its eyes closed and at the bottom of its stomach is an opening into the stone structure. Our main characters are tiny in the valley as they walk up to the structure. Unbeknownst to them they are being watched by the mysterious cloaked figure. They are holding a spear in their left hand. In the sky above is a big planet and a smaller planet with rings.

A girl in a space suit with a space scanner in her hand walks to the left. She is looking back at an old looking robot which is gliding through the air holding out a plant present to her. She looks a bit befuddled. Above her a sleek looking droid hovers along.

Happy book birthday to 'Happy Holi' which is out today! It's a joyful book about the celebration of Holi. Written by the wonderful Chitra Soundar, published by Bloomsbury and designed by Jenny Stephenson. Out in time for Holi which is a month away! #kidlitart

A boy and girl have their hands up in joy. They are surrounded by colourful powder of greens, pinks and oranges which flies through the air encompassing them.

A family, including the grandparents, are outside on their patio at night time. They surround a bonfire in the middle of the page as they keep warm in the cool night air. The grandfather sits with his eyes closed as he listens to his wife tells a story. The mother stands by the grandfather. The father stands by the bonfire and warms his hands on the fire. The young daughter and son sit and their grandmothers feet enraptured by the take she is telling. The stars twinkle in the night sky, fairy lights are entwined in the branches of the trees behind them.

A street scene. Our south asian family and their neighbours party on the street. The grandfather beats a drum happily whilst the grandmother and a small girl tap on a tambourine. A boy plays a guitar in the background whilst everyone throws coloured powder in the air or dances. The scene is colourful and joyous.

We are in the kitchen of a family. The grandfather is standing at the stove stirring away at a pot looking on at his family. In the foreground a mother, son, father and daughter are picking petals from lavender and crushing leaves with a rolling pin to create the powder that will be thrown for the festival of Holi. There are bowls of rose petals and mint leaves on the table.
