Amber DaSilva @ambericaoffline.beauty · 16/10/2026the tesla roadster may fly, but it's not a carjalopnik.com2017 Tesla Roadster Could Have Been A Car, The 2028 Tesla Roadster Will Never Be - JalopnikIt's likely a balsa wood model full of compressed air, a stunt rig designed to tease a corporate merger and satisfy Elon Musk's personal need for a flying car. 79618 96
Amber DaSilva @ambericaoffline.beauty · 16/10/2026it's a 158-gallon compressed air tank behind the seats, where the rear seats would go if the car had em. the "thrusters" are just vents for compressed air to exit through 010 1

Amber DaSilva @ambericaoffline.beauty · 16/10/2026it's not all that different from spacex landing its falcon 9s, only with a lot less mass to worry about. compressed air thrusters are nothing new, spacex has been doing landings like this for years, the only new thing here is the form factor — making it look like a car that it really isn't 2100 10
Amber DaSilva @ambericaoffline.beauty · 16/10/2026i have a blog coming shortly on this, but: the roadster flies, i admit that, but it's not a car. elon got some smart spacex engineers to do their very impressive controlled landing trick in a car-shaped package, as a way to tease a possible future merger to investors and satisfy his personal whims 4261 26
