Halloween costumes for birders. This is from last year and someone actually did the sexy owl pellet one.

A raft of coots and a quintet of Trumpeter swans on Lake George today.

A flock of about 100 coots (small dark duck-like birds with white bills) on the lake.

A mix of five adult and juvenile Trumpeter swans. The juvenile is gray in contrast to the adults’ white plumage.
