I want less cars. I want more pedestrian walkways and more train lines too. I want more bike lanes. I also don't care about a mandatory helmet law because you should be wearing a helmet anyway. Acting like you have the moral highground for doing something statistically proven to be unsafe is wild

Some bike travel needs to be reduced in NYC. Literally not a da goes by when I don't have to dodge someone moving full speed on a pedestrian sidewalk. All those people don't have helmets. The people in bike lanes and on the street do.

I'm not sure this is the "evil American" hill to die on. I know people who've gotten into bike accidents with and without helmets and there is a huge difference in how bad their injuries were in the head area.
