When you choose this path there’s a lot of things that are against you. Sometimes even those things can be your own family. I choose to keep going forward and do the best I can be. This is for those that doubt themselves, keep going! #voiceactor #voiceover #AI #voiceacting

You’re welcome! 😁 sorry for that long winded response.

But these all helped me when I was finally ready to get signed by my agent. I have to be able to do things on the fly and be fluid. Classes are amazing, and they do help. But there’s nothing like being on the field and doing that job.

I do find P2P sites good because 1. It’ll teach you how to analyze a script 2. Help you with live direction if you book a directed session 3. You learn how to audition effectively There are more pros and cons, but I’m sort of on a treadmill right now 😅 and my thoughts are going 100 mph now lol

Clients. I made back my Membership and then some. Sometimes people that are against P2P might’ve had a bad experience with no bookings. And it does suck especially when paying those memberships.

Amaru 🇵🇪🇯🇵 @amaruvox.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

P2P are still valid to an extent. I understand the prices of memberships aren’t the friendliest. But will say that these sites have helped give pretty good credits and relationships under your belt. When I first started out, I went for it and was able to get my first credits with reputable

Thank you to @navavoices.bsky.social for their swift action on this. Tip to fellow voice actors: The reason I spotted my voice on this website to begin with was because I enabled Google Search Console for keywords. Please keep your eyes out for any non-consenting usage of AI!

Keep your head up and keep going. Keep training and trying to progress yourself in small ways. Slow and steady wins the race. You got this!

No worries. No, that’s not what it means. They don’t advertise it in the job posting. But when you click on their page, their bio says that they help businesses with getting AI voices for them.

I’ve been trying to find a good workshop. I took one recently but realized it wasn’t a good fit, and was almost like an infomercial for their line of classes. I’ve been trying to find more that feels better. But definitely researching teachers and classes.

2/2 So I feel like wave is pretty good, but since it’s not going to be a consistent flow of transactions, I might have to stick with something that won’t cost money to fully use. But I’m liking the program so it’s going on my list!

Just looked into that, I’ll definitely look into that for pretty big clients that I’ll get into cold email marketing. Do you have a goods source for the marketing aspect, especially with leads? What I’m trying to do right now is more of get in touch with indie devs and indie creators 1/2

I usually see actors post their rate cards, and follow it up with one of those sites. I’m still new to this, is there a better system that you’ve had experience with? I would love to learn what you use for quotes and invoices as well, sounds insightful.

Amaru 🇵🇪🇯🇵 @amaruvox.bsky.social · 19/12/2024

Hey voice actors! Question for you! I’m going to make a rate card soon. I’ve been thinking about opening up commissions for the first time. Anyone have any advice? I see actors using Ko-Fi or patreon. Or should I just use good ol paypal? #voiceactors #voiceacting #voiceactorsofbluesky
