I have so many imps to throw at my problems and one retromancer to rule them all...

Oh no, I have found an imp. Hope she's ready to get thrown in front of anything I find even mildly inconvenient.

I've had solar panels up and running for over a year now and my only regret from the install has been not climbing the trees in the front yard and hacking the tops off because the shadows slay my power generation during the winter...

Found some pictures I thought would be fun to share. The first three are of a PS4 controller that was suffering stick drift; instead of buying a whole replacement, I had my housemate buy replacement joysticks and I performed the swap. The last one is my PS2 I took apart to replace thermal pads.

Another work from @vtuber0ji.bsky.social , but it's a reference sheet! Now we have a visual guide to a lot of the visual details that goes into Amari's typical appearance as the Guild Leader of The Archaistic Library. Oji did a wonderful job bringing Amari to life, so I hope you also enjoy it!

For anybody that was curious as to where I have been, I'll be having a friend move in and I've been cleaning up to prepare for that. Part of this process involves replacing a wall that had paneling over it for some reason. I'll probably make a blog post about the process but here are some photos:

Drywall exposed after removing paneling that was installed over it with the face slightly torn in 2 places where it appears that an adhesive was applied

Framing for a wall exposed after removing the drywall; the studs have been stripped of all nails and all extraneous material has been removed

The wall now filled in with bat insulation and additional reinforcement to 2 studs that were cut all the way through and were previously secured only on one side

@lereleica.bsky.social graciously brought my design into reality providing the reference Oji used to create the piece in the previous post. If you would like to learn a little about Amari's history, I wrote up a summary that can be found here: wordpress.archaisticlibrary.net/synthesized-...

Amari Elder without the armor; the notable features include their left arm being entirely mechanical, their right arm being composed of pieces of metal that loosely form an arm shape and are bound together in that shape by numerous threads, a spectral tie with a small face where the knot would normally be, light blue eyes with the irises split into inner and outer circular portions, and silver hair pulled back into a tail

My Pokemon Sapphire battery died long ago because the cart went on a ride through the wash and the battery in my emerald cart died fairly recently, so I decided to replace both, except the replacements failed shortly after so I replaced the battery with a holder and it works so that's cool.

Alright I guess. I'm quite honestly pleasantly surprised that Ace Attorney Investigations made it onto your list considering how late in the year it came out. Excellent tastes.

I was going to pass on filling this out, but saw Phantasy Star was on it, so I guess I get a 42. Does that mean I pass or fail? Also, most of the entries in the series I've played on the list are hella old; I've actually played very few new games in recent years...

I took a step I've been wanting to take and removed all the SATA drives from my storage server. As a consequence, I now have a bunch of consumer SSDs without homes. If I follow you and you need storage, talk to me; I'd be willing to part with some for the right reasons and maybe cash for shipping.

If a certain someone wanted these back, I'm only a little sorry (that the shoddy hangar setup made installing and removing these a nightmare, not that I cut them out because these things suck).
