For your listen-list! Had a great conversation with @jordosh.bsky.social and Laura Higgins on the @cooneycenter.bsky.social #IntoTheDigitalFuture podcast. Wide-ranging chat about kids and generative AI, why school cellphone bans are complicated and why we need to think beyond screentime.

More fascinating data from our new research: US adolescents strongly support management of gen AI - including reminders not to share private data, compensation for creators, warnings about bias & inaccuracy in outputs and labeling of AI-generated content. www.commonsensemedia.org/sites/defaul...

Pleased to see Common Sense has released a report I co-authored with my former colleagues on the impact of experiences with misleading or fake online information among teens and how those experiences can diminish broader trust in online information. www.commonsensemedia.org/research/res...

Things are about to get _interesting_. Heard a panel of youth yesterday speculate about what they’d do if TT was banned. Some thought they’d spend more time directly interacting with others. Some figured they’d swap in more Snap time, or Reels or Shorts. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/01...
