The email just says that allowing people to complete their 40 hours in less than five days impacts staffing on the days they are not there. So once again we are being blamed for a problem we didn’t create and we can’t fix. AWS has existed for years. It’s never impacted staffing until they cut staff.

Well according to the email, AWS allows employees to complete their work hours in less than 5 days which reduces staffing on their days off. Which has literally not been an issue until they gutted our staffing but ok. So once again we are being blamed for problems we didn’t create and can’t fix. 🤬🤬🤬

Today an email went out to the agency announcing that our Alternative Work Schedules option that we have always had available is ending effective 11/16/26. So the people who work 4 10’s or 5/4/9 schedules, usually approved for family reasons, have a month ish to rearrange their entire life. Cool. 🤬🤬

Yes. Auto enrollment is now complete. My understanding is that every child under 18 now has an account. Parents have to claim it in order to use it or claim any money. But the accounts exist. Auto enrollment was completed Thursday. 😐

In the case of children born after 1/1/25, the parents have to both claim the account and request the $1000 seed money. For children over 18, I believe they are eligible for $250 if they are in low income neighborhoods but don’t quote me on that.

Any child is eligible for an account. The $1000 seed money is available to any child born between 1/1/25 and 12/31/28. With auto enrollment now being complete, my understanding is that every child under 18 in the US now has a Trump account. Parents still have to claim the account in order to use it.

They brought Kate Spade NY in as the inaugural donor, which is significant, given that Kate Spade lost her life to suicide in 2018. The two lead actors for the show are both heavily involved in the fashion world currently and bringing awareness to this is not without risk as they are newly famous.

For retirement or SSDI purposes we genuinely don’t care. It doesn’t impact your benefit payment in any way because SSDI is calculated based on your FICA taxes. After 1968, service isn’t factored in at all. Unless this is some super rare case specific to this person I dunno why we would care.

So this only applies to military service prior to 1968. After 1968, service being on your record or not makes no difference. This is for retirement or SSDI only. For SSI, the only way service would matter is if you’re receiving VA benefits or military retirement that puts you over income for it.
