If only Democrats knew how to run their campaigns 🤷‍♂️

Add this to the long list of issues where Democrats believe experts and affected individuals should decide and Republicans believe politicians should decide: History Medical care (incl. trans kids) Vaccines Education Religion News reporting They were once the “party of limited government” 🙄🤪

This is the best thing to happen to him politically since he got elected.

Doesn’t putting a second year after your birth year normally signify the death year?

I am keeping the streak intact and getting a 2 for 1 with a Cup final 👍. Have been to every HIR with the same FCC fan… all the way back to the one we don’t talk about.

Well, the AI was trying to predict a human decision, so I’m not sure it’s a fair test of the last statement. In a decade or more when we look back we will see who was right… maybe 🤷‍♂️

Ugh, harder for me. Weren't as many movies before I was born 🙄. I have watched Casablanca a bunch of times, Wonderful Life and the usual holiday suspects. I am guessing the Wizard of Oz, because that was a special broadcast and the whole family watched it every year for probably a decade.

I mean, I hate to even imply that I am defending the demented felon, but the point he was trying to make, if he was able to speak in complete sentences, is that the war with Iran prevented them from attacking LA and San Diego, so this kind of makes the point he is incapable of articulating.

The post-COVID re-hiring boom numbers are inflated, but the Trump numbers are objectively bad in any historical context.

Believe it or not, that isn't actually the way capitalism works. The "free market" doesn't eat the costs of your "bad things". You have to pay the "social costs". The best way is through remediation costs analogous to a carbon tax baked into your price. The worse way is through lawsuits and bans.

How would the whole AI/data center issue be playing out this election if we had a President who announced a $10 billion AI project to design an efficient healthcare system that provides universal coverage and another $10 billion to address affordable housing and food security?
000
Alberto Florida Man @alschulman.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
From an economic perspective, the company should pay taxes equal to the remediation costs of those bad things, bake them into their price, and let the market decide whether it was worth it. That would be how capitalism is supposed to work. It’s not a free rider deal.

The real question is whether capitalists can govern a capitalist state, and the answer appears to be “no”.

Does this mean a 35 yo has a higher standard of living than when they were a newborn? If you mean a 35 yo today has a higher SOL than a 35 yo 35 years ago well, I was 37, not 35, but I lived in an urban 4 BR house I bought for about 1.5X my salary and I had no debt from undergraduate or grad school.

I never like to see an opponent score, but with the 3 points in the bag I can focus on that last point… that the crowd saw a Messi golazo. Wherever you put him on the all-time list, it’s great that #crew96 fans got to see a highlight reel goal from one of the all-time greats.

4 points to 1 vs. Miami. By far our best head-to-head result for a season. 1.55 to 0.32 xG on the broadcast screen. Really good performance and a fun team to watch tonight 👏👏👏 #crew96

Seen him do it half a dozen times live now. If Schulte had been in a position to stop that he would have gone near post. He has made a lot of the world’s best GKs look bad; Patrick joins the club.

Alberto Florida Man @alschulman.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Say whatever you want about Miami, but having a guy who can do that a dozen times a season is fucking insane. And if you want to blame Schulte I’ve seen him do that to half a dozen GKs now. #crew96

This is an impeachable offense. This is a betrayal of the law and his oath of office. Every American should condemn this. Your tax dollars are being used by a politician for a campaign ad, and not only aren’t Republicans being called on to condemn it; Democrats are again asleep at the switch. Gross.
