Good Mornin Bluesky 🦋 I have stepped away from all social media for the past months. It was too depressing. I needed a break. I did turn on CNN once daily just to see if there was an obituary. I will be sitting on the sidelines of Bluesky, reading posts to see.if things have changed. Stay safe!

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 It would only take less than 2 dozen people to change the pathway the U.S. is running toward. 24 Republican members of Congress. 24 people who swore an oath to protect your freedom. I don't know if the U.S. can survive until midterms. The rate of decline is so steep. 24

24 years ago the world stood still. Our skies grew quite. We stared at TV's in disbelief. Heroes died doing what they do. Innocent people perished for no good reason. We all cried. Countries united in one resolve. Never forget what hate can do.

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 This is just my take, sitting here in Canada watching U. S. struggle. #1 All the commotion is distraction from the "plan". #2 quietly, the Administration is taking on more power/authority through Executive Orders to see how far they can go with them to control people.

Al Rosenberg 🦋 @alrosenberg.bsky.social · 08/09/2025

Good Mornin Bluesky 🦋 I have tried to observe what is going on in the U.S. from different perspective, not leaning left or right. The Kennedy hearings, troops in cities, detentions are all designed to make NEWS NOT about TRUMP! It is all distraction. FOCUS! 1,000 Executive Orders coming!?

Can you imagine how difficult it will be for Putin's translator when His Highness The Orange Buffoon goes on one of his verbal diarrhea rants or a Word Salad exposè. I can visualize the person with a puzzled look, both palms up and a "who f@#king knows" reaction.

Trump's Greatest POSITIVE Accomplishment is the establishment of Operation Warp Speed which created a vaccine in record time. Millions saved! His Greatest NEGATIVE Accomplishment is Nay saying the vaccine and many died needlessly and now canceling mRNA research. He couldn't let science win.

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 I am amazed that the D.C. Mayor and Police Chief welcomed the takeover by Trump. I KNOW I am missing something. Is this a ploy to NOT distract from the Epstein files? The Epstein files can be the tipping point for MAGAs. Can't wait for "No Deal" Friday's butt kicking!

Good Evenin' Bluesky 🦋 The NEWS I am getting about actions in the U.S. is becoming scary! I once looked up to the U.S. and was proud to be a neighbor and friend. I looked forward to trips to U.S.. We welcomed our American friends that came to Canada. How did one person ruin all of this? ONE! WHY?

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 Holiday Monday here in Ontario, Canada. Being retired and never getting a "day off" can be tough! Every day I turn on a NEWS channel in anticipation of a scrolling NEWS flash of an orange turd being flushed, sadly, another day of stupidity. NO TRUMP In CANADA! We Win!!

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 I am not a person of faith. I do however strive to follow the philosophies attributed to Jesus Christ. Help the needy, welcome the stranger, feed the less fortunate and good shall triumph over evil. My understanding of other faiths is similar values. Don't hate, embrace.

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 Happy Canada Day! We have a lot to be thankful for and proud of in Canada. Yes, we have our differences but they don't tear us apart. What I don't understand is why the American Government hates Canada. It is time for Canada to align elsewhere. ELBOWS UP!

ME again, Well, Taco pontificating "his" ceasefire was a bit premature as it appears, like his other ventures, void of any substance. Now he is pissed at both countries for not playing by "his" rules. The whole world is watching and laughing at him. He wanted to make a splash at NATO, BELLY FLOP!

Good Evenin' Bluesky 🦋 TACO is takingi the U.S.A. down a path to Authoritarianism by deploying U.S. military against its own citizens. The comparison of his recent action, to acts in North Korea and Russia is scary. Soon you will have to sit at attention when Taco enters a room!

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 I cannot understand how the U.S. can do what they are doing to immigrants. Unless you are a Native American, your family were immigrants or slaves. Literally, immigrants and slaves built the America of today. It is being destroyed by sowing division, hatred and lies.

Having been born in the 50's, I have fond memories of visiting places in the U.S., like NYC and Lake Placid. There was a time when Canada and the U.S.A. played together like the European Union. According to our Prime Minister (and my heart), "those days are over". I am grief stricken. 😔

151

Al Rosenberg 🦋 @alrosenberg.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

I posted yesterday about the Tariff indicator on grocery items. I hope they go a couple steps further and add a country or EU indicator for non-Canadian or non- tariff goods. Some things aren't Canadian. If I want something and my choice is EU or Brazil or USA, the non-USA item(s) goes in the cart

020

Al Rosenberg 🦋 @alrosenberg.bsky.social · 05/06/2025

Grocery stores are adding graphics to their price stickers. This image shows a price sticker for an item that has an upward price adjustment due to TARIFFS. T in a triangle is becoming a universal indicator. Canadian items have a red maple leaf (Surprise!). NO Maple leaf, no space in my cart!

Al Rosenberg 🦋 @alrosenberg.bsky.social · 02/06/2025

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 Quick question, Is TACO now a verb? Can you TACO? i.e. I TACOed from the argument OR He TACOed at the sight of resistance. OR is TACO an adjective? That discussion was TACO like OR He is a TACO person? We all know it is a personification.

Al Rosenberg 🦋 @alrosenberg.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

It is easy to sit up here in Canada and look down on what is happening in the U.S. Here is a quick take away. DON'T focus on the minutiae. A single act, i.e. ICE raid does not define all. Focus on November 2026! It MAY be your last chance. Tyranny awaits if you don't!

Me again, Our Canadian Prime Minister has said what we feel here in Canada, our relationship with the U.S.A. "is over." I still feel a strong bond with most "border states." We are more closely connected than torn apart. The U.S. Government NOT the People did this. It truly breaks my heart.

010

Al Rosenberg 🦋 @alrosenberg.bsky.social · 01/06/2025

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 I haven't been online much. NEWS from the U.S. is too depressing. Too many GOP politicians that I used to respect have kissed the ring. They have sold their soles (legacy) and are being self-righteous. Compassion and empathy are gone. RIP U.S.A. RIP U.S.A. DEMOCRACY

Good Mornin' Bluesky 🦋 Canadian Prime Minister Carney has stated the economic relationship with the U.S.A. "is over". This is a truly sad day for North America and the world. Every cloud has a silver lining. More and more countries are formulating trade agreements which do NOT include the U.S.

Canadian grocery stores are highlighting "Canadian" products! They actually ran out of the Maple leaf signs and tha actual price sticker has a maple leaf printed on it. Most stores identify Canadian products. Some have started identifying products impacted by the U.S. tariffs. Elbows Up!!

Good Evenin' Bluesky 🦋 I know I mentioned that the stores here in Canada are adding Made in Canada stickers on products. As I was walking out of my local grocery store I noticed a sign advising that any product that has a Tariff Now is Identified with a Bold letter "T". Elbows Up Canada!!

I really miss trusting CNN to tell the truth. I do turn it on once a day to see if there is some major breaking news as they seem to have reporters everywhere. I do miss Don Lemon. His compassion and caring demeanor are unmatched in the industry. Acosta, Cuomo, Lemon all no nonsense reporters.

Good Evenin' Bluesky ❤️ I continue to try and find a trusted, non-partisan news source in both Canada and United States. Why is this so hard to do? Every time I THINK I have found a truthful source they spew some obvious falsehood. I just might have to amend my criteria. This is sad.
