Just avoid the 2009 remake. It's not terrible, it's just a waste of time without the quirkiness of an old movie to make it anything other than generic.

Pretty obvious you start with Devil Fetus. Always start with Devil Fetus.

Sometimes you just have to see things you think will suck because you have to know for yourself. Day 1 for me, and I'm expecting to hate it, but hope I'm be surprised. Shaolin was my first foreign language film that got me into HK, then Korean and then Japanese cinema. Soft spot for me

Depends on what you need out of a handheld. Android based things like Retroid and AYN are still pretty affordable if you're doing emulation or streaming from a desktop. And can play lighter pc-based indie stuff through translation layers like Game Native. All those Windows ones are extreme $$$$

Shelter is good though, so I'm not just a contrarian.

No you shouldn't, it's generic and boring.

Boxer's Omen is the gory head floating and attaching veins and all that? That movie is ridiculous and earned it's reputation.

Played through the Last of Us 2 with high contrast to help see items (I have no real disability), and it made the experience so much nicer and saves me from motion sickness of having to constantly swing a camera around to look in every nook and cranny. Can confirm this statement is true

$600? That's about 16TB from the cheapest seller.

The only way it's helping you is if you're using it to get page numbers, but then you actually go to those pages and READ THEM to verify and get the context. I hope that's what you're actually doing.

8 was surprisingly really good and has a total switch up last act. I didn't think I'd like a first person RE, but 8 made it work better than 7.

Only mainline RE game I never finished.

Still listen to that soundtrack routinely. What a beautifully weird game.

And I know that's the point of this thread, but with a movie, you usually finish it and form an opinion. Games being so much longer are hard to stick through if you're not enjoying or hitting a wall. Just want to say Clair Obscur is worth finishing in spite of the complicated bits.

Love you, but wrong. The places that story goes is so worth sticking with it even if combat gets overwhelming (I understand, but there are payoffs to building characters very specific ways). It legit made me cry when I really wasn't expecting. Good acting and direction. Would make a great TV Show

The only problem is alcoholics and drug addicts usually know they need help but aren't ready or willing yet. These people WANT more AI and think they're better for it.

That cable would be capable of almost 2000w, so up your game.

Well, if it makes you feel better, I just got my oldest to play Borderlands 2 and he's very much enjoying the humor and characters and world, so you're still influencing. ReUpload video with all the clips removed replaced with snarky images showing Netflix being assholes and striking you.

How do they skip a ContentID with chance to remove offending parts or share revenue and go straight to copyright?

That's where you're getting this wrong. That was hundreds of millions, this is trillions. This will totally work out better.

How was it? I didn't know it was even done, just heard about him and Sammo doing something.

I have a many generations old AverMedia capture card that took me forever to get settings right, but now I can make frame perfect copies of streaming services (that I pay for), along with HDCP stripper. Also, StreamFab.

Welcome to my hell, I didn't record them all before HBO removed them. Greatly increased my resolve in that area to make local copies of anything important on streaming.

That must have been a regional thing (I know you mentioned the South). On the west coast, I've never seen that even when my parents drove me around in the 80's. I always saw it in movies at almost abandoned gas stations or old TV shows. Didn't think it was even real in modern times.

I remember watching this video and thoroughly enjoying all the tidbits I missed or didn't know the history of. My kids also enjoyed it after watching Shaolin Soccer, giving them more understanding of Chow's past and now wanting to watch more of his movies because of it. Good job indeed

Thank you, I'm only on episode 5 so got something to look forward to. It's been the one big hurdle I've been worried about screwing something up.

Zahn is in Silo, playing the other kind of role he excels at, crazy manic person with big beard.

I'm not far enough into the series to know if it's discussed, but how is dual booting when you have say, 5 drives in a system? How do the OS's handle those extra data only drives? File permissions, NTFS vs whatever Linux is using, data integrity? It's the one thing I can't find much info on.

My notification on my phone is Frank's "Fantastic." When you get a text and a new person around you immediately comments about how they love that game, that's how friendships start.

As Shaolin Soccer was my first legitimate toe dip into Asian Cinema and the starting off point for what is a decades long love affair, I'm expecting this to be shit. Overly saturated colors and too much cgi like what a lot of newer movies look like. Hopefully I'm wrong

If you even see this, I have no idea what your point is anymore. Like, I don't understand what you're arguing.
010
AlphaRookie @alpharookie.bsky.social · 05/07/2026
But, what if that's your fantasy? To think of the worst way to die? And that's it.

AlphaRookie @alpharookie.bsky.social · 05/07/2026
And cutting more costs and eliminating studios isn't going to somehow produce games to make them money. So what are they even doing at this point? Hence the topic that they don't understand their own business.
010
AlphaRookie @alpharookie.bsky.social · 05/07/2026
I understand the reality, that's not the point of this debate. It's the fact that people in charge don't understand the market they're in and what they're doing. Phil's downfall could easily be seen as MS commanding more profit and higher margins, not that they were losing money.
200
AlphaRookie @alpharookie.bsky.social · 05/07/2026
Yeah, we get that. The argument is that leadership doesn't understand what business they're in or what they're doing. They buy/fund things that are profitable, but then when they get in charge, suddenly it's not working anymore. The only thing that changed was who's in charge.
110
AlphaRookie @alpharookie.bsky.social · 05/07/2026
Again, it's dumb management who doesn't understand what business they're in. Invest in a company producing good results and sales? No. Take that money and burn it in a dumpster (AI). Like the other person said, they don't know what they're doing and don't understand the market they're in.
