Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 12hF them. I'm voting for her again. Every action they take reinforces my belief that she stands against everything that would continue to enrich them. That's enough for me at this point in our history 220
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 12hFor folks who wanted to know about that amazing toilet tank cleaner, here you go. Only tank cleaner I found. Everything else was bowl cleaner. Stuff is amazing 150
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 12hThis is shaping up to be a mostly rest day. Ho boy, am I tired (& a bit bruised & scraped up-the closet pieces are all 40" & solid wood, so heavy for me to lift while on a ladder!). Really need to try to fit stuff in my teeny, tiny 2'X4' "storage closet" 😆 (even cat carriers are a tight fit) 040
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 12/10/2026I meant to show the pic of the doors closed. I do like that it looks sorta like it goes with the wardrobe. Maybe I can get some handles that are similar. 000
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Crazy how bad things are now. Even the fittings are now plastic. Even ikea is doing plastic instead of metal. Feels like they’re going to start using plastic screws next. Jeesh 010
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 12/10/2026No I’ll post it. Maybe tomorrow. So wiped out. This stuff was heavy and I had to modify so much to get as far as I did. But I wanted to share products that work! Hard to find these days 010
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Sad they have to do that, but honestly sounds more fun and rewarding to do it without a map or marker 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 12/10/2026This was definitely a new one to me. I was so happy to have drywall again 🤣 010
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I'm going to check that. They don't have any visible build up, so that's promising (maybe someone already replaced them) 010
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I'll look at the package and post later. I couldn't find anything like it in the stores-had to get it online 100
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Super cool! So was there a sign near them or was it something that was mapped & you went to see it, specifically? 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Might give that a try. This thing is really crusty, but worth a shot! 100
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Had to use kid size hangers to fit in the 14" deep cabinet. I I really think that it's going to pull off the wall (it's heavy & you're supposed to use toggle bolts, but when I tried them b4 they sliced thru the drywall & made a big hole??) so I put blankets on the dresser to protect it Now pooped! 120
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026THEN I realized you can't use doors w/the clothing rails designed to go w/the system because it's not deep enough-oops. That was the whole reason for doing this (drives me nuts to have clothes out in the open). So I had to drill my own 4 holes (2 in each side). Really hard to get them to line up! 220
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Then none of the drilled holes in the side boards you hang on the anchor plate lined up w/the doors meant to go with them, so the doors either sit above the sides or sit below. I settled for going above to line up with the Ikea wardrobe (will fix the crooked doors later, zzz) 100
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026DIY thread-tuff day. 1st, I took off the utility covers to locate studs but 1 stud only went 1/2 way up the wall?? Then NONE of the holes in the anchor plate lined up w/any other studs so I used drywall anchors, but the nails are 2" vs 2.5". This suckuh is sure to fall! Slightly unlevel, but eh 210
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Btw, this tank cleaner really works! I don’t have a scrubber so just dumped it in to see what it would do. Gonna do one more treatment and scrub it a bit, but no rush now. Obviously I also finally replaced the toilet seat yesterday too 260
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I've only ever had a wall AC once & I can't remember if it was this loud. This one's from 2013 & I don't have the remote (thus the stepstool in vids/pics to turn it on/off, but you can buy replacement remotes). Works ok-ish. Going to replace w/a Keystone. Supposed to be a bit quieter, I believe 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026They're amazing! Going to plop one in the bedroom as I work on the cabinet soon (not sure how long to wait as I need to do a lot of noisy stuff) 010
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Normally you take your aerator off & clean it periodically (or just replace it-typically straightforward). I tried using stuff for calcium, but it's so encrusted that didn't work & couldn't break off enuf deposits to get it loose. So yeah, new one this week & will be sure to maintain it 120
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I got two standing ones (the round head ones that can auto rotate up/down & side to side). Got them for the house & 2 is overkill here, but brought them both! 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Ours is $2 to wash, $1 to dry, but I literally have to take the clothes out very early on low heat, so definitely a bargain (not sure how much public laundry is, but guessing the same or close to it, but without having to go somewhere & sit there for hours) 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Still can't over how much of a difference a really good fan makes. Never even occurred to me to get a nice one because I figured that a fan is a fan. Nope! Highly, highly recommend Dreo fans 280
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Knowing the Trump regime, they're probably going so much lower than we thought possible purely to see if there are rear minerals that far down 🤬 210
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Weirdly, I rarely notice anyone doing laundry here (always open when I want to wash). I'd say they're sneaking in ventless combos but the plumbing here can't support that. But yeah, not hating not having my own like I thought I would! Still 1 flight of stairs 🤷♀️ Only negative is it's tiny & $3/load 250
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Happy Sunday, BS 😊 Goal today is to see if the last closet cabinet will fit/work (hanging-the only time I REALLY need to find a stud or 2 😈) & install. Also went to change bath sink aerator (VERY hard water here) but it's calcified to the faucet. So new faucet day? What are my BS peeps up to today? 460
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Not enough suffering for me. I want them locked up in tiny cells with shitty food and no privacy for the rest of their miserable lives 000
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I could happily spend an entire day just hanging out with this guy 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Yeah. He's constantly hiding under heavy blankets in the bedroom. Nanny goes under the ottoman (it's why I have blankets over everything in all my pics; creating places for them to hide). Going from a house to condo w/common entry & hallway to the other units is 🙀 for them 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026We children of the 70's were just freaking awesome, weren't we? 140
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Did you do that, too?? I remember at least three times. Horseys-no-likey (slid around & off on one attempt, knocked off by a tree branch 2nd attempt, & knocked off by a barn door on the 3rd-3 different horses. I was NOT a careful child) 120
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I have a galley kitchen, too (now). I was wondering if that kind of stool would support my now chonky self. Great suggestion-I'm going to see if I can find one at HomeGoods this week 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Yeah, I figured it's just a few days & there are so many other things to do this week (still building out the closet while maintaining access to the 2 access panels for the bathroom that come through the closet) 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026It's an amazing view & I definitely enjoy it when you share it 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026That's the issue!! All but the bottom shelves of the upper cabinets are too high for me & there's no place at all to put a step stool. But I cook so little that a full floor level cabinet is open, so I might get a cute step stool & keep it in there. It's definitely weird but 🤷♀️ 100
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Just didn’t have it in me to figure out anything better for such a short time. Took hours to figure out to get rid of the piece that’s supposed to attach the hose to the window kit (it’s too deep to fit). It’s really hard with that plus the 2 kit pieces being different heights. Too hard to explain 240
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Poor guy has had such a rough time so I set up the small tv with cat tv for him (and Nanny just joined!) 290
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Another lovely, peaceful looking evening on the lake, it seems. Ahhhhh 110
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Portable ACs are a bear to install-they really never fit the window track. Jury rigged it to last just a few days for the heat wave. Can't test till tonight (has to sit 6+ hrs) Also, it's so hard to figure out how to organize a kitchen. I'm so clueless-easier to build a kitchen island 🤣 140
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I'm finding myself doing it in public now. So. Embarrassing. 270
Lynne @alonewon.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Adults (Republicans) letting a child (Trump) drive the car (American democracy and international respect and leadership) off the cliff is where we're at, apparently. 0110
