Main info is at furality.org/ageverificat... It has some FAQ. We have Yoti verify that you're at least 18 years old. They don't keep anything and we don't know anything other than yes or no to that question.

An article about Yoti being fined in Spain is making the rounds and I need to address it, because the conversation around it has become disconnected from what the article actually says and how Furality's age verification actually works.

Don't let this be the reason you stop with something you like to do. We get so many applications that realistically you have about a 7% chance of being selected. Keep going and growing, there's a lot of furry clubs that have open decks and regular events almost every weekend.

One of the coolest things I've been able to build up over the last few years for #Furality is the control room behind the events stage. This is where we manage most event content, setup, and run the many cameras that eventually get distilled into the Twtich streams.

For me, Furality Somna was the @furality.org experience I'd been hoping for over the past three years. I've been critical of them in the past, but they've shown active signs of being better, inside and out. All of those words I had put up at the Club closing applies to everyone there.

Yeah just adding info :) Our operating cost usually is the highest the months leading to the convention, so the upfront cost kind of trend the same as a physical convention, just maybe not exactly a massive payment to the venue 30 days out like a physical hotel, but that one comes immediately after

100

Alofoxx @alofoxx.bsky.social · 01/05/2025

Furality has ongoing costs throughout the year for the convention, most physical cons pay to rent the venue for space on the weekend. We pay to rent it and pay to build it. It helps a lot when all the registration funds aren't only during the week of the convention

100

Alofoxx @alofoxx.bsky.social · 01/05/2025

We are collecting feedback on desired currencies, we targeted basically the currencies that the most players that currently attend are, and new this year we started surveying countries in registration as we don't really have any metrics that granular. We have to hard code every parity for it to work
