The Trump admin claims it found 20,000 possible noncitizens on the voting rolls in California and is seeking a court order forcing the state to segregate every ballot sent to those individuals. Remember what happened the last time they made wild claims like this? DHS has ZERO credibility here.

It was the Trump administration's latest stumble in its effort to find proof of widespread noncitizen voting, despite decades of evidence that it is extremely rare.

Judge Cobb dismisses John Brennan's suit to force Blanche & DOJ to preserve documents relating to its grand conspiracy probe. Accusations are "deeply concerning" but injury is too "attenuated" at moment, so he lacks standing. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
Brennan's allegations-that he is being targeted by the Trump Administration not because
of his conduct, but because he has opposed the current president—are deeply concerning. If he
was eventually able to prove those allegations true, that would certainly suggest that his potential

the injury he alleges is simply too attenuated from the actions he seeks to enjoin to warrant a
finding of standing here. Defendants' motion to dismiss, ECF 21, is GRANTED. Brennan's motion for a preliminary injunction, ECF 2, is DENIED AS MOOT. A separate order accompanies this memorandum opinion.

@realDonaldTrump
Nidal Malik Hasan, a former U.S. Army Major turned traitor, is a very bad and evil man, who killed 13 people, including a pregnant soldier, who died, along with her unborn son, and injured, very seriously, 32 more innocent people. Barack Hussein Obama's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intercepted electronic
communications between Hasan and the radical Yemeni-American cleric, Anwar al-Awlaki. When reviewed by his FBI terrorism task force, investigators concluded that Hasan's emails were not a threat. This assessment of the Obama Administration's actions was later considered to be a key intelligence failure. With all of that being said, I think streaming the execution for all to see might have been a strong deterrent for the World to witness how America deals with Terrorists and SCUM like Hasan but, many very good and well meaning people would rather not watch him die, through streaming, or through any other visual device. He will die, as scheduled, by firing squad, but this event will not be streamed.
That said, the execution may be viewed in person by the immediate families of the victims, if they so choose. They deserve to witness JUSTICE! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD

The person who trained the officer testified that ICE does not consider pulling a gun on someone a "use of force" and that ICE has no policies expressly banning pointing guns at other motorists. However, he was so evasive on the stand that the judge considered disregarding his whole testimony.
ICE training officer John Parodi, who trained Morgan, testified that displaying or pointing a firearm is not a “use of force,” and standard police restrictions, like not pointing firearms at motorists, do not apply to ICE.

“There is no tit-for-tat matching force; there is no policy that limits or forces the agent to react to a specific defined force or specific defined response,” Parodi said. “Our officers have the ability to judge and deploy a reasonable level of force.”

Under cross-examination, Minnesota offered department policy stating officers may use force only when no safe alternatives exist — exhaustively questioning Parodi on what constitutes force, if a firearm is a lethal weapon and how officers are trained.

Parodi, who noted he is under a Touhy demand, often said he could not comment on agency protocols or insights into training beyond general concepts, though his shifting testimony drew sharp criticism from Brasel.

“This witness is all over the place in terms of what he answers and what he doesn’t,” Brasel said. “I can’t discern any line. I’m really close to just disregarding his entire testimony.”

The investigation is seeking information to see where it leads, the source said. For example, if records, representations related to age and immigration status contain false information, that would provide material for investigators to scrutinize further. They could also examine communications related to such matters.

A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Once again, no early warning from our partners. The main target was energy infrastructure, specifically CHPP-
4. Unfortunately, it was hit. A residential building was also damaged, and rescuers are currently putting out a fire there. Our systems detected these missiles only when they were already virtually on approach to Kyiv. CHPP-4 is one of Kyiv's key energy facilities.
According to our intelligence, the Russians are preparing further ballistic missile launches. The facts show that the Russians do not consider themselves bound by what the President of the United States said. Ukraine supported an energy ceasefire. Russia is targeting yet another power plant and the lives of our people. And this is absolutely unjust: when they are destroying our energy infrastructure, and Ukraine is not even receiving early warnings about ballistic missile launches. It is important that the world does not stay silent about this. And it is important that the United States really see what is happening and who is responsible for this war continuing.
Please stay safe tonight and tomorrow. We are working to replenish our air defenses with anti-ballistic missiles.

WOW. Kristi Noem and Elon Musk, among others, "chose to turn the power of the federal government against a singular employee with an impeccable record of public service. ... The attacks against Ms. Comans were based entirely on false information" and many officials "knew [they] were untrue."
In conducting this hearing, the Court is not called upon to resolve factual disputes between
the parties. The facts set forth in this Memorandum Opinion and Order were proposed by the
Plaintiff, unobjected to by the Government, and then deemed admitted by the Court. Dkts. 74, 75,
77.2 These facts establish that high-ranking government officials, including then Secretary of DHS
Kristi Noem and Elon Musk, engaged in a coordinated public relations campaign to impugn the
personal and professional integrity of Ms. Comans. For reasons unfathomable to this Court,
officials chose to turn the power of the federal government against a singular employee with an
impeccable record of public service. In short, Ms. Comans was professionally targeted and
personally attacked by government officials for no legitimate reason. The attacks against Ms.
Comans were based entirely on false information, and many government officials knew the
accusations were untrue at the time they were made. With no regard for the truth and with no
consideration for the personal and professional effect on Ms. Comans, government officials
exploited their access to mass media outlets to broadcast false information. These false
statements reached hundreds of millions of people. The purpose of this Order is, to the best of
this Court’s ability, to correct the public record and establish as a matter of law that the
statements made by these officials about Ms. Comans were objectively and demonstrably false.

8 CFR Part 214
[CIS No. 2870-26; DHS Docket No. USCIS-2026-0529]
RIN 1615-AD26
Removing Deference to Prior USCIS Determinations of Eligibility
AGENCY: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, DHS.
ACTION: Notice of proposed rulemaking.
SUMMARY: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services (USCIS), proposes to remove 8 CFR 214.1(c)(5), which generally
provides that USCIS gives deference to a prior approval involving the same facts when
adjudicating a request to extend a petition for an alien’s employment or stay. This change
would better align DHS regulations with the statute, which places the burden of proving
eligibility for all immigration benefits on the petitioner, applicant, or beneficiary;
strengthen adjudicatory review; and support agency priorities to improve the integrity of
the immigration system and better protect the interests of U.S. workers.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court takes up Trump administration request to review a lower court decision allowing discovery into DOGE. The case is one of three new cases granted today.

U.S. DOGE SERVICE, ET AL. V. USDC DC, ET AL.
25-1343
BLANCHE, ATTY GEN. V. OZURUMBA, IZUCHUKWU
25-7026
The petitions for writs of certiorari are granted.
BERRY, COREY D. V. UNITED STATES

The motion of petitioner for leave to proceed in forma pauperis and the petition for a writ of certiorari are granted.QUESTIONS PRESENTED
The district court in this case entered a wide-ranging and intrusive discovery order against the U.S. DOGE Service (USDS)—a body within the Executive Office of the President tasked with advising the President—to determine whether that body's influence renders it an "agency" subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA),
5 U.S.C. 552. This Court previously granted certiorari, vacated the court of appeals' denial of a writ of mandamus, and remanded for the court of appeals to "narrow" discovery in light of "separation of powers concerns." On re-mand, respondent withdrew several of its discovery re-quests, and the court of appeals again denied the government's mandamus petition without any new analysis regarding the remaining discovery, which includes numerous requests for internal communications and a deposition of USDS's head. The questions presented are:
1. Whether the court of appeals' order departed from this Court's instructions and the separation-of-powers principles that this Court articulated in Cheney
v. United States District Court, 542 U.S. 367 (2004).
2. Whether a court may order broad discovery against an Executive Office advisory body—potentially providing much information sought on the merits of a plaintiff's FOIA claims—to determine whether FOIA's disclosure requirements apply in the first place.

After plaintiffs noted that ads continued running last night — storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us... — DOJ, in its status report, says the gov't is now in compliance. As to last night, they say, essentially, "We tried, but DHS didn't check their email." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
As Your Honor is aware, the Court emailed the TRO to the parties yesterday at 6:46 p.m.
Counsel for the Government emailed the TRO to agency counsel at 7:58 p.m. Agency counsel did not become aware of Government counsel's email until this morning. The undersigned apologizes to the Court and the plaintiffs. As required, DHS provided the TRO to the vendor, Lepugh, Inc. doing business as LMD Agency, Inc. ("LMD"), this morning.
The Government is in compliance with the TRO. In addition to the above, the purchase order entered into on or about September 20, 2026 between U.S. Customs Border Protection ("СВ") and LMD (the "September 20, 2026 purchase order") is stayed, including all future payments made thereunder; the Office of Management and Budget's apportionment of $20 million to fund the development, creation, and/or airing of the advertisements covered by the September 20, 2026 purchase order, including but not limited to The Country He Loves, Celebrating the Enduring Spirit, Final Battle, To the Great Proud People of Iran, and Maduro (collectively, "the challenged advertisements") is stayed; Defendants understand that they are enjoined from using, disbursing, or transferring funds appropriated to the Department of Homeland Security to develop, create, disseminate, place, distribute, publish, or air the challenged advertisements; Defendants understand that they shall cancel or cause to be cancelled any slot, placement, reservation, or arrangement for the airing or dissemination of the challenged advertisements; Defendants understand that they shall not enter into, renew, or expand any agreement authorizing the development, creation, dissemination, placement, or airing of the challenged advertisements; and Defendants provided a copy of the TRO to LMD and LMD has been notified that it is enjoined from continuing to run or place the challenged advertisements.

This story makes it sound like the major problem is that the Trump Admin did this w/in 60 days of an election. Yes, that's a real abuse. But the major problem is they're basically threatening to denaturalize an opposition legislator, based on racist insinuations. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/12/u...
