iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

The double meaning was my intent. Back then what I was doing was extraordinarily rare - only just getting into double figures on the whole www - and there was no other way of getting such images on the web (eg no social media) and no way of controlling access. Slightly stressful but fun, yes!

Quiet here because I have been distracted by modest travels recently, and also had to deal with a birthday… So here I am, right now 70 years and five days old and have been feeling better about it each day since the birthday! #MirrorSelfie #Naked #Nude #Male #Man #MonoChrome

A non-erotic naked selfie photo, 3/4 length frontal of a slim mature male wearing glasses with the camera in view held up by both hands and with two wooden doors behind him.

In the end a camera shy pussy! 😃

A casual mirror selfie from the Kingston townhouse in 2009.

A male nude self portrait taken in a mirror, slightly blurry due to slow shutter speed reflective of the darkness, side lit, camera held above the head.

I used to have a whole Herdwick jumper - I had to wear something thick underneath for my skin to survive - so only for COLD days!

Lovely light, location and model (of course!)

I have my father’s plane - he started as a carpenter but went onto build houses and grander things.

I reckon my father’s Zeiss Ikon Nettar 510/2 was probably made in 1933, and this was very probably the first colour film that it has experienced. This is St Nicolas Rest Garden Brighton last week. #mediumformat #filmphotography #zeissikon #filmcamera #kodakgold200 #mediumformat

Further retrospection. Kitchen counter culture maybe.

A modest kitchen (2009) After the 'luxury' Kingston townhouse we were able to find a much more modest but comfortable dwelling in Worcester Park. This uncomfortably small kitchen had to be explored. #retrospective #selfportrait #nude #monochrome #naked #nudity #portrait #male

black and white photo of a small fitted kitchen space into which a naked man has tucked himself between the worktop and the wall cabinets.

It's eight years ago #onthisday and it's Green Man festival again. Because I'm such a fan you get four photos from the King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard set, but I've added in John Grant and Bo Ningen too. All in all, a memorable day. #livemusic #festival #photography

Le Grand Parterre - the gardens of Chateau de Fontainebleau Palace, France Eleven years ago #onthisday - today I am on a roll with this theme. I could post like this more often but busy, busy. And yes I know, I should be out shooting photos on THIS day but it's too effing hot! #architecture

Monochrome photography of a grand French palace with a lake with fountain in the foreground and a few visitors standing to give a nice sense of scale.

Smash it up Captain Sensible playing with The Damned at Vintage at Goodwood Festival, #onthisday in 2010. Predictably it was very loud and if I ever blame any one band for the current ringing in my ear then it's these guys. But it was worth it... #livemusic #photography #thedamned #guitar #punk

Colour photo of a guitarist on stage - this is Captain Sensible so he's wearing what looks like a sailor's outfit and with his usual red beret.

Fifteen years ago #onthisday and we were on holiday in The Netherlands. I'm not sure which photo I prefer so you get both! This North Sea naturist beach is at Boswachterij, Schouwen-Duiveland, Zeeland. #selfportrait #male #malenude #naturism #monochrome #naked #nudity

8 years ago #onthisday, arrived at Green Man Festival on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (aka Brecon Beacons) with ominous clouds overhead but they came to nothing. This year's festival is next weekend and they will be desperate for rain otherwise the Green Man may not be burning!

Made me instantly think of “Pretty in Pink”, the John Hughes movie from the 80s. And then I started singing the title song of the same name (by the Psychedelic Furs)… 😄

Welcome to the new home (2009) We were there for seven months only, but it did inspire me to greater creativity. It was a relatively boring townhouse, but it was a new space with these ostentatious double doors. #retrospective #selfportrait #nude #monochrome #naked #nudity #portrait

A day late to the party but could not but help notice the similarity! I actually took this just over a year ago - i’ve never posted it anywhere so it’s certain that we independently came up with the same idea. 😅

And I’ve just gone and deleted the post because I wondered whether I should’ve put it in the thread and my recent photo that you were replying to! Let me know if I should put it back here, or put it there then if necessary you can post your parasol again as if nothing happened! I’ll delete this post
