Emblehope is a 7,550-acre estate where gun dogs were previously trained for bird shoots. Restore has exciting ambitions to completely restore and transform the peat bog, inspired by the “great bogs of Estonia or Finland.”

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust warns UK bumblebees could fall sharply as heatwaves intensify: above ~28–32°C they can't fly without overheating. But we can help: plant native wildflowers (even a pot on a windowsill), add a small pond, and offer shade to give them food and refuge.

There's a simple means of telling whether someone can be trusted: when they get something wrong, do they admit it? A consistent feature of Trump and the Maga crowd, of Farage, Truss, Johnson, Le Pen, Weidel and their counterparts around the world is that they do not admit to getting things wrong.
