Yeah ideally, there's a handful of titles I know of that do so, particularly Portal 2, Gone Home, and Firewatch. I haven't played it but I hear Tactical Breach Wizards has something like that too, and there was a whole behind the scenes disk included with Metal Gear solid, but generally it's rare

Sure, they're a part of it, as are things like interviews and podcasts or noclip docs, but if you're playing a game, you'd explicitly have to go seek out these things, and it might not be presented in the context of the game itself in the way an ingame audio dev commentary is able to be
