Also Stephen Graham Jones doing some work on that Marvel anthology should be great. His books are excellent.

Johnson’s Hulk run coming to an end next year. I might need to catch up on it. I read about 15 issues and I liked it. Wonder what else he’ll do along with midnight Spider-Man.

I’m liking what I’m hearing from Wacker so let’s hope he leads Marvel in a brighter direction. He was excellent as an editor so I’m excited. Let’s hope 🤞

Overall, I still think it’s a 7/10 show for me, but yeah the finale didn’t work for me.

I agree with Grant Morrison with their thoughts on Lanterns, it’s why it brought the show down for me.

I don’t think they did a good job marketing it. I didn’t even know it was going on until I checked this weeks releases lol

Comic runs, event over saturation, too many new #1s and of course the controversy around his own alter ego. I do think it was time for a new EIC at Marvel so I’m excited to see what Wacker has in store.

The Cebulski era of Marvel is an odd one, filled with both positives and negatives. He did have to clean up a lot of the mess from the Alonso era and did usher in a revitalization with Fresh Start, and of course Krakoa. And trying to partner with more international talent. But the early ends of

Yeah that’s probably right. It’s just shocking since they’ve held the 007 license for like a decade.

Yeah I’m excited for this. Also crazy that dynamite doesn’t have the license anymore.

I mean I’m glad that Feige doesn’t want the comics to follow the movies; but it’s also annoying that the comics are basically just a feeder system to the mcu. Doesn’t that basically mean it still has to have synergy in some way? Idk I just hate comic synergy.

I haven’t tried the midnight fantastic four book but it would be fun if it embraced the 70’s lo-fi science fiction aesthetic.

Ander @aliltron.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

If they continue to expand the Midnight books, I wonder who would be next. I know the purpose is to do horror for characters who aren’t really horror based characters. Namor would be a fun one.

Midnight Spider-Man #1 was fantastic. A brilliant, terrifying new take on the Spider-Man mythos with familiar characters reinvented in exciting ways. Pure scientific body horror done right. I can’t wait to see where this goes.
