Would be great if they manage to have two trains a day, with one with less stops (or via Saarbrucken), to make it a bit faster, especially given so many people do all the way to the final destination.

As a regular of this line (3-4x year), one of the main reason to take it is to avoid losing a connecting train because of DB delays in the connecting options. But more trains ONLY in 2028?! SNCF and DB really misreading the room here, as with the night train cancellation: ze people want more trains!

I had the immense pleasure of doing a month long writing residency at the Fondation Brocher in Hermance, Switzerland. Met with very interesting colleagues staying there at the same time, and we enjoyed the views and discovered together that writing is always hard, even in a very inspiring place! 🤓 😀

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations has recently started paying more attention to this diaspora (including by promoting the aforementioned survey), supporting and developing ties with Brazilian Academic Networks (soft-power). Something to be followed in the general anti-academic global tide.

Brazilian universities and funding institutions went through serious political attacks in the previous government. Surveys among the academic diaspora show that most Brazilian scholars left because of the lack of opportunities (mostly a consequence of the political decisions to cut funding).

Le train direct de jour ne permet pas certaines connexions, on arrive trop tard à Paris. Le train de nuit reglait ce problème et était pratique! Amusez-vous à prendre l’avion, sortir à Rossy ou Orly, faire tout le transport jusqu’aux gares pour prendre un train pour Clermont Frd ou Niort les gars… 😡

The only way to deal with this news is: “Putain de bordel de merde!!!” @groupe-sncf.com et @info.gouv.fr honte à vous! Les trains étaient pleins! En moins de deux ans j’ai fait cette route plusieurs fois, c’était pratique, les gens croisés étaient ravis de ne pas prendre l’avion. Quel gâchis… 😡
