GO FOR IT, NAKAMURA-KUN! stands out for being a rare comedy about a shy gay highschooler trying to work up the courage to confess to his crush. The art is so like Ranma surprised the manga came out in 2014. It seems sweet.

HEROINE? SAINT? NO, I'M AN ALL WORKS MAID a woman is reborn as the saintess in a romance game & uses the opportunity to be the maid she always wanted to be. But she's not the only reborn character and everybody's confused why the story is going off the rails. Fluff but fun.

YOUNG LADIES DON'T PLAY FIGHTING GAMES had story and animation flourishes that were actually very enjoyable. But Street Fighter game private school rivallry & yuri make it a wee bit niche for me.

Have you tried Heterogenia Linguistica? It's about trying to learn languages, often non-verbal ones. Some have no commonalities with human communication at all. Found it fascinating.

KUJIMA: WHY SING WHEN YOU CAN WARBLE is a slice of life comedy about a bird-thing that scams it's way into staying with a human family for winter, or maybe longer. If you told me it turned into body horror halfway through, I would totally believe you.

SPARKS OF TOMORROW is so lushly animated it feels like it should be a big screen release. The story, with its most villain-coded of villains to hit the screen, might've been better served at a shorter length as well.

Though both are beautifully animated, THE WORLD IS DANCING and its fictionalized look at a leading figure in the history of Noh is the one I found inspiring enough to continue watching.

Second yurt-centric entry on our list, JAADUGAR: A WITCH IN MONGOLIA follows a Persian slave girl on her path to power in the court of the Great Kahn. This feels like the remnant of a brighter time. Where you could stumble upon it on after school tv and it rewires your brain about the whole world.

IRON WOK JAN is another decades old manga getting an adaptation. Jn believes cooking is war and he'll fight with any and every one. Gets the original art style dead on maybe at the cost of feeling a little cheaped out. But pretty amusing & some gag worthy recipes.
