The proposed bill does little to protect trans children from formalised conversion torture. Stella's complaint is that parents may face some scarce restrictions in meting out the torture themselves. Under the proposed legislation, they'd need to be guided in doing so by a quack.

I think, if you're paying attention, trans rights and especially "trans women are women" are going to be the cultural spearhead of the eventual cultural swing against Long Trumpism. Our rights will be granted as a symbolic cultural victory of left/liberals similarly to how gay marriage was.
