Today (with my toddler in the stroller, while I was wearing faded black jeans and a leather jacket) people thought I worked at: The Parks Department Melbourne Museum Kmart Why does this keep happening? It’s been over 10 years of this.

This has happened for years, often overseas (hilariously multiple times at Disneyland and Disney World, as well as in Asian and European countries where I don’t speak the language) and at times when I am literally pushing a stroller. I just give off big “employee” energy, which is ironic.

I have a weird thing where no matter where I am, what I’m wearing, or who I’m with, at least once a month or so someone will think I work wherever I am and start asking me questions like I’m staff. I’ll usually help if I can, but it’s always very confusing.

Yeah, I get that. When in doubt, start with the butter chicken thali and then go from there. But good for you for trying it! They’re such kind people and the food is so good.

Next time you go, I strongly recommend the Thali. It’s two curries, naan, rice, papadam, salad and chutney. I order it every time and it’s the best. The chicken tika is great, too, though!

You will love it. It’s the best. And the curry selection changes daily.

On a related note, if you’re in town for PAX, Delhi Streets is close(ish) to MCEC and has the best and most delicious (and reasonably priced) Indian food in town. A true hidden gem. Everyone there is so kind and talented and deserves all the customers ever.

Today Karma & I went to the restaurant that catered our wedding to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (it was our 15th dating anniversary y’day). Impossible to properly celebrate during PAX prep, but I love this tradition. I still can’t believe it’s been 15 years. Feels like yesterday & forever.

Hasn’t fully hit her yet, but she got this Pikachu in Japan and *loves it*. Took it to the aquarium today to show it and Charizard all the fish. Luckily I think I’ve found a friend of a friend going to Japan next month who might be able to secure a replacement (and a backup) but this is a rough one.

Rib is mostly back in, so I've decided it's close enough. My physio wasn't available and the other physios weren't comfortable messing with ribs. The VVED doctor I spoke to said that she hadn't seen a subluxed rib in 25 years of emergency medicine so couldn't help either. I am psyched for PAX!

I’ve had the flu for the last couple of weeks, which has meant some pretty intense coughing. Because I have EDS, this means that I keep popping out my ribs & now some are stuck out & I can’t put them back. How many ribs getting stuck out of alignment do you think warrants medical attention?

They refunded just the dish and were super dismissive even after admitting it was their steel wool (in a way that suggested this happened a lot). I did not eat any more from there.

This was my feeling as well, but not how it went down.
