That's odd. Can't speak for modern/legacy (those formats are always expensive AF) but Standard deck prices have dropped a lot over the past 6 months.
The top 2 decks are under $250 and the most expensive I can find is under $450 - this time last year the cheapest tier 1 deck was more than that!
