Hey composers, what if you could host a stunning demo reel that actually converts — with built-in call booking and automated follow-ups — all in one place? 👀 I’ve been working on something that might just change the game.

Many composers in a nutshell: No, I don't care learning about correct self-promotion and marketing, I prefer to do it wrong and if it doesn't work, it's probably my music not being good enough.

Whenever you question yourself about not finding work as a music composer, check your demo reel or website and analyze how often it is about you you you ... and not about the benefits that you bring to the table for your client!

Typical argument of music composers: The market is so saturated, it doesn't make sense anymore. See it from this perspective: 99% of people are lazy! Be consistent in your networking and build long-term relationships instead of going for the quick buck, then you have the biggest advantage ever!

Music composers still thinking the best method for a demo reel is: - playlists with tons of tracks - long video medleys - long text bios - listing all gear and awards - links to every social network - contact forms - using YouTube or SoundCloud ... but still no project in sight? 🤔

If I would start off again today to become a professional music composer: 1. Getting familiar with the basics of music theory and sound design and listen to as many CI sounds as possible per day and analyze them to bits.

One thing I noticed over the years when giving as much helpful feedback as possible to new music composers is the following:

We had text, then we had pics, then we had (more longform) videos, now we have shortform videos. What do you think will be the next natural evolution on how we consume content?

Here is something that composers have to understand. There is no fast track into the music business. "Don't you just have a list of companies you could forward me and then I am ready to go?" ... what next? Food delivery directly into the open mouth? 😅 This is technically not possible - Read on 👉

Dear music composers, let's get into a few more hopefully helpful topics. We composers, mostly never learned how to promote ourselves. Let's take a deep dive into a few helpful topics on how to increase the chance to get your next paid project! 👇

Little hint for music composers. Instead of tweaking your reverb setup of your orchestral template for the umpteenths time, invest some of it into perfecting your application emails. Reverb won't pay your rent 😅

Are you a music composer looking for your next paid project? Instead of trying to be a jack of all trades, focus on one target group, set up a dedicated demo reel to deliver what those people need: music for their specific visions and projects. #musiccomposers #musicbusiness
