I'm not sure if the 'wow' is part of Socrates' quote or it's google saying that but it works both ways

Screenshot of google search of "how did socrates die" and the response is "Socrates was killed for saying How come it's called Ancient Greece if it's today right now? Wow"

But Barón was never employed by a labor union. It's not about policy, they even endorsed Jon Grant over her. www.seattletimes.com/opinion/edit...

The Times editorial board recommends: Jon Grant, Seattle City Council, Position 8
Seattle voters should elect housing advocate Jon Grant to City Council Position 8. Grant won’t fill the moderate shoes of Tim Burgess, but he brings experience and a reasonable perspective.

The "Mercer Island is a giant park" idea was part of the Bogue Plan which was voted down by the public in 1912. It had a lot of things in it including a massive transit plan seattletransitblog.com/2017/03/07/b... And was separate from the Olmsteds all along

Our Subway Plan, Rejected 105 Years Ago

Self Care is the NA line from 3 Magnets brewery down here in Olympia and they have a ton of different NAs, some of which are staples and some rotate. They brew a Gose in summer that is great and their Freak Flag is a well-done IPA, they call it hazy but it's not very

There is a tremendous opportunity for a brand new generation of media outlets to rise up right now because many news outlets that spent decades painstakingly building their credibility are seeing it torched by bootlickers with incredible speed.

I paddled the John River in the Brooks Range and we went past where the Ambler Road would go. It’s a deeply wild place and we paused there to imagine what it would be like to hear a truck. These natural resource issues aren’t always easy but we have to have places where humanity doesn’t come first.

We had one of those “lol we’re internet satanists and we have religious freedom to do a ceremony here” rallies at our state capitol and a hardcore conservative state legislator poured olive oil all over where they did it (he was later revealed to be a domestic terrorist)

Watching the canvassing board meetings where they try to determine “voter intent” for some of these truly weird ballots can be incredible viewing. There are a tiny number of voters who mark their ballots in the oddest ways you can imagine.

it's clear who Dudgeon considers a legitimate user of the park when he says that bikes on the road would "negatively impact the visitor experience", as if the cyclists aren't legitimate visitors themselves

RAMROD starts well outside the park so that's not it. The superintendent was objecting to the event because the bikes will cause congestion, with the most concern about Stevens Canyon road www.seattletimes.com/life/outdoor...

Sunrise is a lot better because they have to plow the road then it takes them awhile to fix up the visitor center so there’s consistently at least one weekend that’s closed to cars but clear. Much easier than the Highway 20 setup

They barely even tolerate RAMROD and that still allows cars, just inconveniences them. Completely absurd.

There is something so sweet about the human capacity for enthusiasm. For a few days everyone in LA has been glued to Watch Duty and getting in the weeds of how water drops work. Now there are people out here who honestly have a favorite water plane that they are following closely and rooting for.
An Instagram post of a screenshot someone took of a water planes “stats” i.e. how many drops it’s made and its ground speed etc.
