Gareth Taylor took that style of play to Liverpool, so Khiara won't be unlearning any of it any time soon. It's a stress the fans of teams like City and Liverpool just have to learn to live with. But you never learn to control the panic when your goalkeeper has the ball at her feet under pressure.

Khiara Keating is a talented goalkeeper but mistakes like the one in the first half that led to United's goal are holding her back. It's not her fault. She was indoctrinated to play those risky passes when she was at City. Yamashita, at City, takes the same risks but gets away with them more.

Sing it to the tune of 'Kumbaya, My Lord.' Raise your hands like you're in church, City fans 😉. And surrender it all to him, my brothers and sisters: One one five, my lord, One one five. One one five, my lord, One one five. One one five, my lord, One one five. Oh lord, one one five.

If the "115" process continues for another five years I think many of our rival fans will go clinically insane. A genuinely amusing prospect.

Worst case scenario is if the irrefutable evidence be like: "We are not, we’re not really here, We are not, we’re not really here!"

Has there ever been such an overdramatic, grievance-fueled wankfest as the current "115" media frenzy in the history of football?

Great article explaining why the leak of the Manchester City "115" verdict tells us practically nothing at all. "I can tell you that the award you eventually read rarely resembles the headline that preceded it. Tribunals qualify, distinguish, and occasionally surprise even the parties."

Reports Are Not Reasons: Why Lawyers Should Say Little About Manchester City

He's assuming we're guilty of cheating before the verdict has come out, but apart from that he's spot on about the rules that we allegedly broke, saying what City fans have been saying for years, and proving that even a broken clock like him is right twice a day.

The recent creation of a new brand platform for Manchester City Women is significant. While remaining connected to the Manchester City brand, it establishes a separate and distinct identity for the women. I wonder if the club was thinking about possible "115" outcomes when it chose this direction.

What possible effects could a Manchester City guilty verdict in the 115 case have on the women's team? Reputational damage could reduce sponsorship. Financial consequences could reduce funding dramatically, affecting the club's ability to retain and attract top players. MCWFC wouldn't go unscathed.

Manchester City Women when Bayern fans throw a flare onto the pitch.

Manchester City Women came back from 2-0 down to tie that game. They also came back from being completely out-performed by Bayern for most of the first half. So, while we didn't get three points from our first game back in Europe, the "we will find a way to win" mentality was very much in effect.

Not saying Mead and Coffey are bad choices. I understand we wanted defensive solidity in our first game back in the Champions League. I understand wanting Mead's experience too. But today we understood that against a team like Bayern, a better attack meant better defence. It's a learning experience.

Wow, so many mixed feelings about this game. Against Liverpool last weekend, Jeglertz' substitutions changed the game. He did it again against Bayern today. Great. But I think tactically we got it wrong at the start. Coffey and Mead in midfield slowed our game and that worked to Bayern's advantage.

Alexis Monteith @alexismonteith.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
Thank God we managed to pull one back against Bayern before half-time. We need to be moving the ball faster through that Bayern press and set-up. That will have to be the objective of any substitutions in the second half.

26-year-old Reggae Girlz defender Tianna Harris has joined Adelaide United in Australia on a one-year deal, becoming the first senior Jamaican international to sign for an A-League Women club. Harris left Portugal at the end of last season where she played for Damaiense in the Liga BPI.

The only way the season finale of Lioness could have been more MAGA is if Donald Trump made a cameo appearance and congratulated Joe and her team on doing a great job after their complete shitshow.

A great game from Manchester City Women and Liverpool ends 4-2 in City's favour. We did what champions do and stepped up our game to come away with the win in the end. Liverpool played a very good game. Gareth Taylor has done a great job with then.

Khiara Keating parried that shot directly into the path of Bunny Shaw, who punished her and fired it into the net at point blank range for City's equaliser. When you're on opposing sides, there are no sisters in the football jungle.

I loved Bunny Shaw's goal for City against Aston Villa today. She started the play that led to the goal, intercepting and winning the ball as Villa played out, then passing it to Hemp, who carried it to the box and gave it back for her to score. Bunny worked for that one.

Manchester City Women cruise to a 4-1 win over Aston Villa, looking like they did not expend too much effort. And that's good considering the busy schedule ahead.

And Donnarumma making that mistake irritates me a lot less than if it was made by someone who was more skilled but also overconfident and a bit too cavalier at times. No disrespect to Ederson. But just saying. Let's give Gigi a little grace.

Alexis Monteith @alexismonteith.bsky.social · 06/09/2026
Ederson was much better with the ball at his feet, and yet I remember a goal line scare from Ederson that was similar to yesterday's scare from Donnarumma. If Gigi makes mistakes it's because he is still adapting to our style of play, which isn't easy for those who are not naturally inclined to it.

Lioness thinks it can sneakily become more and more MAGA each episode without anybody noticing. It's gone from subtle to pretty blatant, which is what happens when you have a right-wing oligarchy consolidating media control. Ironically, Pete Hesgeth would not be too happy about the female badasses.
