Fuck Sol 6.1 Medium one shot Shenzhen I/O!
Victory screen for Three Kingdoms Tokens puzzle, it's not a very efficient solution but it works!Screenshot of a SHENZHEN I/O circuit on a dark blue checkered board with a gray outline. Bright turquoise wires, drawn as parallel tracks with angled bends, connect four microcontrollers, a price selector, three inputs on the left, and three outputs on the right.

At upper left, the PRICE selector displays 16 beside a gray dial marked minus and plus. It connects to x0 of the large central controller. The top input, “in-1,” connects to this controller’s p1 through a wire looping across the board’s upper edge. The middle input, “in-5,” connects directly to p0. A third, unlabeled input connects to p0 of a smaller controller at lower left. A vertical dark jumper links that smaller controller’s x0 wiring to the central controller’s x1.

The central controller’s program reads the price into dat, adds 1 when p1 equals 100, adds 5 when p0 equals 100, and adds the value received on x1. If acc is below the price, it sleeps for one time unit and repeats. Otherwise, it subtracts the price, sends the remainder through x2, sends 1 through x3, clears acc, and sleeps.

The lower-left controller clears acc, sets it to 12 if p0 equals 100, sends acc through x0, and sleeps for one time unit.

At upper right, a controller receives the central controller’s x3 signal through x0. Its program waits for data, discards the received value, sets p1 to 100 for four time units, then resets p1 to 0. Its p1 connects to the circular output labeled “bell.”

Below it, a larger controller receives the remainder through x0. While acc is nonzero, it pulses p1 and subtracts 5 when acc exceeds 4; otherwise, it pulses p0 and subtracts 1. Each pulse lasts one time unit, followed by one time unit at zero. Its p1 connects to “out-5,” and p0 connects to “out-1.”

Yellow status panels show all acc and dat registers at 0, with dashes for state and power. The input and output terminals have metallic concentric rings and dark centers.

Hmm I wonder what this is, probably nothing...
Screenshot of a social media post by Jim Calabro (@calabro.io). The top text reads "yeeeep 1/2". Below this is a photo of a presentation slide featuring a line graph titled "CVE fixes per release". The graph's x-axis tracks software versions from 6.9 to 7.2, and the y-axis measures the number of fixes from 0 to 2,000. The data line remains relatively flat at around 500 fixes between versions 6.9 and 6.19. It then spikes sharply upward, reaching over 1,000 at version 7.0 and peaking above 2,000 at version 7.2. Small text at the bottom left of the slide reads "Kernel Recipes 2026 - Security in the LLM age".

Underneath the presentation image is a quoted post by the same author stating: "the linux kernel in particular is interesting, but from friends who work at other large orgs shipping mission critical software/firmware, they have not had the same experience and have basically been working 24/7 since they got on Glasswing last spring/summer". The bottom of the screenshot shows the timestamp "13:06 · Oct 2, 2026" and indicates "Replies disabled".

Two boards sitting on saw horses in the garage. A loaded paint roller held by a blue glove on the right side.The same boards the same boards now painted white.

In the background there are a lot of bikes my God who has that many bikes?! There's like nine of them.

Also on the right side is a black squat with a loaded bar with 225 lb on it. Nice bench! That person must be swol.

Today, instead of touching grass, we're cutting wood!
A long wooden board resting on two black sawhorses on a concrete driveway. A shorter white board, a tape measure, and a yellow pencil lie on top of the wood. Red safety earmuffs hang from the right sawhorse. In the background, there is a street, a mailbox, and a yard covered in dirt, dry leaves, and flattened cardboard.

Tone down the religiosity dude; you are not campaigning to be town preacher, you are supposed to be a leader for everyone - Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Atheists etc. When you constantly pander to the Christian vote (it seems you do to me) it does you no favors and finds you few new votes.

Yes - I'm saying you can calculate the ev without running the trials.
For a one-off (the contestant) the ev doesn't matter though, just the odds and the actual result. My stats prof was quite clear on that.
Because the ev is an average. It's only realized over time.

RHETORIC [Heroic: Failure] – Alright, here we go. We're devoting all your available brain cells to coming up with a question about communism. Scratch that, to coming up with *the* question about communism, the alpha and omega of communism questions, and that question is:

1. - (Whisper.) "Are women bourgeois?"
2. - Oh god, that's bad. Surely I can think of something better.

Text of the screenshot:

## Playing Cards

Given a list of playing cards as tuples, like so:

```python
cards = [
  ("Spades", 14),
  ("Diamonds", 13),
  ("Hearts", 2),
  ("Spades", 8),
  ("Clubs", 11),
  ...  # etc.
]
```

We want to convert them to `PlayingCard` objects as [defined in my previous
post on `enums`][enums]. To do this, we need a function to convert a tuple into the
class:

[enums]: /blog/python-patterns-enum/#playing-cards-with-enums

```python
def tuple_to_card(card_tuple):
  suit, rank = card_tuple
  card = PlayingCard(
    CardSuit(suit),
    CardRank(rank),
  )
  return card
```

This makes it easy to parse the list with a quick loop:

```python
new_cards = []
for card_tuple in cards:
  new_card = tuple_to_card(card_tuple)
  new_cards.append(new_card)
```

And we can even filter the cards so that we only keep hearts:

```python
just_hearts = []
for card_tuple in cards:
  new_card = tuple_to_card(card_tuple)
  if new_card.suit is CardSuit.HEARTS:
    just_hearts.append(new_card)
```

Permissive AI Policy

Permissive AI policy

A policy, written or otherwise implied by maintainers' actions/statements, that permits the use of AI/LLMs into the code base. Opening the door for others to use gen AI counts as a "Permissive AI Policy".

Evidence may be, but is not limited to:

    an explicit AI policy (e.g. AI_POLICY.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, developer docs) in the repo or something in the project's contributing guidelines or in their website's documentation that says that AI/LLMs are allowed
    an LLM friendly AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, or other such LLM instruction files or folders.
    core maintainers' blog or social media post about using AI/LLMs
    LLM code being merged into the default branch of a project's code repository. (Must be merged to count; Open PRs do not count)
