Lamassu are a human faced, winged bull creature/deity found in Mesopotamian cultures. Mesopotamia being a historical region where the Sumerians, Akkadians, Assyrians and Babylonians lived over different eras. They're protectors who embody strength, intelligence, and freedom✨

mesopotamian monsters from a few years ago

the demon Humbaba, a large greenish creature like a melting green gorilla with one snake for a tail and another for a penis, and a face like a mask of gold intestines, menaces a tiny Gilgamesh and Enkidu in the Cedar Forest

the dragon Illuyanka, a gigantic blue and red serpent with glowing yellow eyes, needle-like teeth, and a pouchy throat, battles the Storm God in the sea. The God is a small figure perched on dark rocks in the foreground, holding a trident in one hand and pressing the other hand to his bowed, bleeding head. bloody eyeballs dangle from Illuyanka's teeth.

the goddess Tiamat, a huge greenish dragonlike monster with four arms, several udders, and a head surrounded by four splayed jaws, battles Marduk (small, in foreground) amid dark, stormy seas. a halo of glowing cuneiform surrounds Tiamat's head, and nestled amid her udders is the Tablet of Destinies with more glowing cuneiform

Ullikummi, a humanoid creature made of black rock, looms on a dark precipice against stormy skies. glowing orange cracks cover his body, dripping lava. small bands of glowing red text wrap around him, and stones float above his body as if he is not so much a solid entity but a thing in constant process

I woke up this morning questioning if writing is really the path for me, and if it was something I should give up. Sure enough, first thing I saw was my bookshelf bathed in sunlight, with authors who’ve encouraged me highlighted. My bookshelf is positioned to NEVER see the sun. Might be a sign?

As my first post, I’d like to announce that I’ve discovered the answer to solving all my plot holes - adding more autism Stuck with characters? Add autism Can’t figure a way out of a problem? Use autism Lacking inspo? *Autism* So far this method has been very effective!
