Have you tried this?
Belle Hutson

My sister used to get subway and she'd tell them "so much mayo it makes you uncomfortable.” And when they'd stop and ask if it was good she'd look them in the eye and ask “are you uncomfortable?"

The bicentennial made such a tremendous impact on American *pop* culture--I remember the Barney Miller episode about it!--there were tricorner hats everywhere, hit songs, a movie, and the logo and local parades all year long. This year it feels as empty as the mall.

When these data centers become debt traps in a few years at most, the next Dem president should offer to wipe out those debts if they're sold for a dollar back to cities for community centers, mutual aid hubs, YMCA-style temporary housing services. Try to salvage anything out of this mess.

Does anyone have real-life examples of loyalty — to a person, a job, a cause — actually being rewarded? I’m in a cynical headspace rn where it seems as though loyal people all end up either outright betrayed, or dragged down with the ones they support. Hoping for some counterprogramming.

It’s been five years since Alex Jones lost InfoWars to the Sandy Hook families. As the verdict came down, he asked: “Do these people actually believe they’re getting any money?” He hasn't paid them a penny. Well, The Onion is going pay them anyway. The new InfoWars begins July 2nd at 8 p.m. ET.

The Onion’s staff is tired of waiting for the courts to settle its pending takeover of Alex Jones’ brand, so the new Infowars will launch next month.

I'm autistic, and I can do all those things. My son is autistic and it's likely he will never do those things. But he is still a complete, valuable human being, because disability does not negate his humanity. Finding autistics who can pass the eugenics test is NOT THE POINT.

Since PTSD is being invoked to excuse any and all abuse and misconduct, let us acknowledge where it is most common. .... From my book Recollections of My Nonexistence.
The former Marine David J. Morris, author of a book on post-
traumatic stress disorder, notes that the disorder is far more com-
mon and far more rarely addressed among rape survivors than
combat veterans. He wrote me, “The science on the subject is pretty
clear: according to the New England Journal of Medicine, rape is about
four times more likely to result in diagnosable PTSD than combat.
Think about that for a moment— being raped is four times more psy-
chologically disturbing than going off to a war and being shot at and
blown up. And because there are currently no enduring cultural nar-
ratives that allow women to look upon their survival as somehow he-
roic or honorable, the potential for enduring damage is even greater.”
