Social Media recommendation algorithms are far more effective than bots at shaping trends & user behavior. While bots can generate high volumes of spam or targeted engagement, native platform algorithms control what BILLIONS of users actually see by controlling reach & content distribution at scale.

I think that this is a wakeup call for the whole world—for several reasons, chief among them: - the rise of the extreme "right wing" isn't unique to the US & UK. - the said organizations are no longer managed at a local/regional level, but at a global one—that also includes strategies & financing.
