We don't say sex work is work because it's a cute slogan. We say sex work is work because sex workers are left out of conversations around labor rights. Sex workers have the right to safe workplaces and legal protections. Sex workers shouldn't fsce discrimination because of archaic morals.

I used to work for a politician answering their phones and responding to their emails, and I can tell you from my experience this is completely true. I saw my boss immediately flip on an issue because we got like ten emails in a day. Trust me, they do worry about being flooded with this stuff.
