Going through it can affect sleep, working life, concentration and mental health - it can make you feel like you aren't you any more. Talking about it should be natural too.

Heat pumps & insulation would cut living costs more than new oil fields Isn’t it strange how Andy Burnham’s “pragmatic” approach to the North Sea involves doing exactly what fossil fuel lobbyists want? No party is serious about dealing with the cost of living unless they also tackle climate […]

This would be climate vandalism and endanger our national security: fossil fuel dependence funds regimes like Putin and Iran. We will never solve the cost of living crisis if we don’t end our dependence on gas. Unbelievable short sightedness by Burnham: clearly in hock to the fossil fuel […]

How many more times are we going to intervene on prices while doing nothing to reduce consumption of energy? Put solar panels and batteries on every house in fuel poverty. Take VAT off retrofit. Give free insulation. Otherwise we’ll be back here again, again […]

Off to Green Party conference in Brighton today. Looking forward to what new party policy we make that Labour supporters dismiss as “crazy”, “nuts” and “weird”, and then copy next year at their own conference. We lead, they follow.

@TimWardCam Mmm, but I think that’s a correlation rather than causation. Certainly it helps prop up high prices, but the problem isn’t individuals buying homes, it’s the hoarding of properties by landlords, with a lack of affordable options for people who can’t or don’t want to buy.

Is there a problem Andy Burnham doesn't think a Mayor can fix? The problem with our water industry is not oversight - it's companies that have a duty to maximise shareholder value, rather than provide an efficient and effective water system.

Only the Green Party recognise the key steps needed to solve our housing crisis, so we don't condemn a whole generation of young people to homelessness: 1. Rent controls, to stop housing taking up more of your pay 2. Build 150,000 council homes a year, so supply increases

Another great line up of comedians for Worcester Green Party’s 4th comedy night, tomorrow, Friday 4th September. Get your tickets here actionnetwork.org/ticketed_events/g…
actionnetwork.org
Green Comedy Night
We are very lucky to have such talented Comedians willing to entertain us for free so we can raise funds for a Green MP for Worcester. Back in June we held our biggest comedy night to date and had a wonderfully entertaining time whilst raising over £1,300 for the local party. Dave Flynn our fabulous MC and our very own member Comedian is assembling another army of talent for September the 4th. Let's see if we can hit an even bigger audience number than last time and lift the roof off. This is an ideal event to introduce the Green Party to your friends and family, especially the broad minded ones. There will of course be a bar staffed by our Councillors and members. Last time we had to top up the bar from Asda half way through. Prices are reasonable and there will be a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks and snacks. Raffle prizes will include Green Party Merchandise and other contributions from members. Get your tickets early, we could well sell out again

The ultimate moment of bad faith party popping from Starmer. Knowing full well this was Labour’s chance to set out its store as Parliament returned from summer recess, he’s chosen this moment to make it all about him and resign. When someone tells you who they are: believe them.

What's the truth about Green Party of England and Wales and Prevent? Yes, there is a proposed policy change for Autumn Conference that would seek to get rid of Prevent: because it is not fit for purpose. The United Nations recognises that Prevent actually achieves the opposite of its stated aims.

Worcester has rightly been rated as the best place for creatives in the UK... but that's not reflected in Labour's output. The optics of using climate destroying AI, as we have seen five heat waves and nearly 3000 deaths this summer, is pretty appalling too. If you want real people, delivering […]

If you need proof how out of touch Labour are in Worcester, just look at this. Rather than use an picture of actual real activists in actual real Worcester, they decided that an AI image of almost-people in a Worcester-ish place, with a brochure that sort of says "Worcester" was the way forward.

@DrEdBridges This is why I’m keen on things like making buses “fast and free”, providing solar panels and batteries to all homes in fuel poverty, and building out council homes - transport, energy and housing are costs all have to pay and real action can be taken on.

Alex Mace @alex.mace.social.ap.brid.gy · 12/08/2026
@DrEdBridges It’s both and more: if the cheapest way to do something is “disposable”, its price doesn’t properly reflect the externalities (eg CO2 of production of transport, just for it to be thrown away). The size and portability of them means they are more easily taken to places at risk of […]
