...which is also why their traffic graph doesn't go WoOooOo (because humans sleep sometimes) but stays relatively flat - yandex is providing the consistent plumbing behind a lot of services and, incidentally, telemetry and guidance for RU drones, which is why they're getting their teeth kicked in rn
traffic graph of multiple russian ASs showing clear day and night cycles for Rostelecom and other "normal" ASs while Yandex AS13238 is more or less flat (unless a drone strike knocks them offline)

as far as cloudflare is concerend, bot is anything that isn't human (which seems obvious but differs from "vlad pretending to be sheila on X") What Cf sees of AS13238 is mostly the Yandex crawler for their search engine and regular server-to-server traffic because Yandex is mostly providing services
bot vs human for yandex: 99.6% bots, 0.4% human

this gets shared a lot right now and it's important to be right on the internet, so I feel like I should mention that it's nonsense - this isn't showing the bot-share but bytes - the bot share is actually damn near 100% for AS13238 all day every day, because "bot" doesn't mean what is claimed here
Post claiming that "Russian troll activity on X drops to 49% after Ukraine strikes Yandex data center

Oh also, for the sickos: it's an Eastsoft HW2181 SoC, basically a Cortex M0 paired with a 2.4GHz RF transceiver hooked up over SPI with some extra bits for motor pwm and sensor readout, with big honkin' datasheet available Pretty sure I already see the UART and SWD lines lol

According to those snooty biologists, bugs can't cry but I've found a reasonable explanation for why they absolutely and just choose not to in a little guide on bug suicide methods
source: https://www.pointsincase.com/articles/how-bugs-kill-themselves

They Cry

Most bugs have multiple eyes or really big eyes so when they cry they drown in their oversized tears. This is why most bugs are so in control of their emotions. When a bug is ready to go it just allows itself to feel sad and then it’s bye-bye bug! This technique hits home with me because sometimes I feel like I need to cry but then I stop myself. It’s like I’m blocked or something. I won’t allow myself to reach tears because that would be admitting I’m actually much sadder than I tell myself I am and that feels like dying!

if you're good enough scam-podcaster google will eventually pick up your scam number and put it into the featured section - note that they dropped the legit number, too (but left out the prefix 1) so it embeds closer to actual AT&T support information despite being garbage.

Step 3: Spam github PRs for established projects, nobody cares anymore. Sure there might be somebody going "Hey uh this is not relevant to us" but that's also just an LLM response and they'll just tag it as spam, but it still exists so google will happily pick it up regardless
spam pr in the fb ios sdk repo, with llm generated nonsense to advertise another scam numberLLM response saying "oh no we're not the right people, but I'm just an idiot bot so of course I'm just going to drop useless links here see ya!'the spam continues as before

Hey kids, wanna know how to poison google "ai" so it hands people a scam number? It's easy, Step 1: Spam Github with it Google treats Github as relevant for tech queries and in this case it's about a defunct email service - you can just spam that number, there's no actual intelligence involved
github gist designed to poison "ai" search by spamming a phone number I won't repeat across a QA-style document about retrieving an sbcnet global email
