how's that some days are just super slow and it's really difficult to focus? On Friday it took me a day to mostly do a big task (if you like story points, it's a 5), while today I'm struggling with a small bug, just losing focus.

Anytime I'm trying to progress with my side project I have urgent interruptions for family things, it's like a curse or a magnet. Do you have the same? How to overcome it? Just let it go?

Tomorrow I'm going to give my first presentation to the frontend community in my company. Not to stakeholders but a technical talk to technical people. I hope it'll go well!

Just read that Musk wanted to buy Substack after Twitter, even giving the CEOs and execs to keep positions. Substack refused the whole offer. Good way to go @substack (seems they are not in here though :))

Anyone of the Meta React team here in bsky? I'd love to read news from them about updates but I'm just getting notifications on twitter and I really don't want to #react

Headline: Elon Musk's new 'department' seeks 'super high-IQ' staff for unpaid jobs Musk said “compensation is zero” for the “revolutionaries” who will advise on cuts to the federal budget. lol 😍 Ps: willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting 😍

Today I read an interesting, and very detailed, article about the end of the Etruscan monarchy in ancient Roma on the last king, and the beginning of the Republic.

When we had our kid, for 3 years I didn't manage to read anything except on the Internet. But for the last few years I've been getting back the time lost. This year I'm at 16 or so books, only half of them fiction, plus 10 history magazines.

As this is not Linkedin -long time I don't use Twitter- I guess that's for all that's going on in life? Well it'll be interesting to share something.

In #Javascript, if you transform an empty string '' into Number, it becomes 0. That's it, that's the post. Because we all love JS.

well now, what's better than, while coding, having your kid bringing you a pancake he just made with mum? 😍 Bonus point, getting a kiss from the kid just because he's happy for the surprise 💕

when you like a post, you create an "app.bsky.feed.like" (a type) record in *your* repository. that like is *your* data. that like references an "app.bsky.feed.post" record of whoever wrote the post you liked. that post lives in *their* repository. that post is *their* data.

There is a tragedy looking at the very deep Dropbox and Miro layoffs (18-20%): Both companies are *profitable*. Dropbox generates a very healthy profit ($450M profit / net income on $2.5B of revenues). A reminder of one downside of taking VC-funding or going public!

So I did my first daily standup in my new company. 20+ people, talked only the ones needing someone or something or having some block or complaints, for getting some help. Not necessary for the rest to talk. Lasted less than 10 min. Loved it 💙

I'd have to say that after a month or so, my new Windows laptop works for development way better than my previous Macbook Pro. No compatibility issues with monitors, different plugs, stable software, quickness. And way better hardware for less than half the price
