I am constantly mystified by accounts that do stuff like this. I suppose technically it's legal, since this is the excerpt of the audiobook that is free to listen to... but why should this account get the hits and not me? Even more things to put on my to-do list… #Booksky youtu.be/nQuXJt3HGME?...

YES! I timed recording and editing my latest podcast narration in Blanket Fort Studio directly between the neighbor's lawn service AND the two spot rain showers. (Because Florida) Go, me! ⭐️

Omg I hear you. Good luck! I have no idea how long this book is going to be, and I'm trying not to think about it. I just want to be done before the end of October! #WeeknightWriters

Sold my first book in 2004. Was a True Plantser for almost 20 years. In April-May 2023, an entire novel exploded out of my soul in about 5 weeks (during which I went storm chasing, so help me) Every time I shook my head, words fell out. Been mostly Chaotic Pantser ever since. #WeeknightWriters

My mother named me Truth. I have never taken that name lightly. My Greek grandmother refused to read a word I wrote because it was fiction and therefore lies. But I have only ever told my Truth. AI "novels"...that's what's trying to be First. Meanwhile, I'll continue to tell my Truth. #Booksky

I worry more about my books never being seen now. Screw what Other People think. If you wrote a whole book from start to finish- & published it! -you're serious. That's it. This was such a dumb thing to say. I'm super disappointed in her. But I bet she doesn't care what I think either. 😁

Typo of the day: "Soft Christmas music rose from the speakers as Nate tarted the car." 😂 Okay, seriously. I really am going back to writing now.

Anyone who says "traditionally published covers are always better" has obviously never worked in the publishing industry. #booksky

Let's discuss. 1) Kirkus hated every one of my trad covers. HATED. 2) "girls w/dresses" was popular but these books were VERY BLOODY and ALSO FROM THE BOY'S POV 3) B&N said "Give her longer hair & make it darker!" But in HERO she chopped off her hair & wore pants Dear #Booksky - I fixed them.

The three iterations of the covers onfirst three books in the woodcutter sister series. The top row are the three traditionally published (and very badly Photoshopped) book covers. The middle row are the independently published Amazon "rose" covers, and the bottom row are the independently published hardcovers featuring the name day gift of each daughter. Bottom two row covers were both designed by art director Caitlin Greer
