I'm too old for laneway, but not because I don't recognise the artists, but because I don't know if I've got energy for Jane Remover, Horsegiirl, Slayyyter, Kim Petras, and Fontianes all in one day. It's a cool and fun lineup.

Drinking a rum and coke (with bitters and lime). It's pretty good. Might do it again. Cheers

Surprising how many people come into our brewery and tell us they already don't want our product. Just now: "I don't really like this craft beer stuff." Walking into a bakery "actually I don't like baked goods sorry" Going to buy a telly "not super into electronics, myself".

One thing I do reasonably often is check on the Jersey Parm facebook group. It's an alternate reality where disgusting American "parm" is good and the superior Australian version is bad. Here's the kind of shenanigans going on:
Well. Again, Chick Parm dinner at ‘Pete’s Steakhouse’ and they DID NOT disappoint!!! Don’t care who what people say about it from the photos. I can tell you this….ATE THE WHOLE DAMN THING and enjoyed every bit of it!!! Sometimes those local taverns, restaurants come through just perfectly!! 👍

The Southern Cross, the Pointers (alpha and beta Centauri) and Carina - From Ángel López-Sánchez - flic.kr/p/2jXHV3f
Image obtained from Siding Spring Observatory, NSW, Australia, using a CANON EOS 5D Mark III on a tripod, 14mm lens, 20 x 15s, on 3 March 2017.

Some clouds were around, and that is the reason why the bright stars have a much larger size than the faint stars.

Alpha Centauri is a double star. Image obtained using a Skywatcher Black Diamond 80mm, f=600mm, Barlow x2.5,
ZWO 183MC camera, 100 x 0.001 s, from Sydney, Australia, on 13th March 2020.

In addition to the bright stars, other relevant objects in the photo are: Carina Nebula, the Coal Sack, the Jewel Box, Omega Centauri and the Centaurus galaxy. Can you find them?

Image credit: Ángel R. López-Sánchez (Australian Astronomical Optics, Macquarie University).

Acknowledgments: Álvaro Iranzo Gutiérrez.

god this is good
flight of the concords scene with murray, brit and jemaine.

"How's this, then? Ed Sheeran, beloved by all, left without an opening band at present. Enter you two."

"What if we want a free Palestine, Murray?"

"I reckon you'll get lots of things for free when you're proper rockstars. This might be your ticket."

"I believe this is the beginning of a psyop to normalize pooping yourself and persevering through it"
Joanna Wietrzyk is the beginning of a new psyop
Joanna Wietrzyk is a hyrox athlete who pooped herself mid competition and continued the event. She didn't take a break, no one stopped her, no real consequences. I believe this is the beginning of a psyop to normalize pooping yourself and persevering through it.

For fanatics of American politics, there's another person who is also believed to allegedly be pooping himself. Social media tsunamis is one of their favorite strategies for dealing with negative actions. Overwhelm people until they're desensitized and/or use it to drown out serious news until people choose to ignore it. It's an effective strategy and we're seeing the start of it.

Went to watch local rugby with my dad today. Found him and two mates parked up at halfway in his car. He was smoking a ciggie. I jumped in the back "What is this? The corporate box?" The old blokes loved it.

There's a tree near us that looks like a T Rex. When we drive past we go "ayyy dinosaur tree" and everyone has fun. Some people get mad enough about it to leave bad reviews on google:

100% this. The joy in getting some garbage and saying "how did you even make this? How long did you spend on this?" is lost. The answer is now just "ai".

At what point are journalists going to ask people to define what this boom is? We're about three years in and they are still trying to convince us it can "write an email".

I met this cat today. I let him sniff my hand and he gave it a friendly nibble.
An orange and white cat, sitting on a fence, staring intently. He's cute.
