The TIOBE index for #Python shows it stable from 2004 to 2018 when it started to climb like crazy through the AI/ML boom. Then it hit an all-time record high in mid 2025. However, after that, it has been declining steadily. Python devs, what are your thoughts on this?

On a serious note, now that I tasted it myself, I see why #PyTorch is so popular. The code is so easy to understand 👏

I could have Googled/ChatGPTed it but there's nothing like seeing it in action. So, as a software developer who can write code, I obviously asked Claude to write a short #PyTorch program to test it 🧵👇

TIOBE measures developer interest, not the amount of #Java running in production. Java remains strong in enterprise software, backend systems, and Android's ecosystem. However, is hard to ignore the trend. Java devs, what are your thoughts?

A chapter that would take me +3 months to write while working full-time, now takes me 3-5 focused days.

Alejandro Duarte @alejandro-du.bsky.social · 22/07/2026
Now I'm working 8 hours a day on it, and I can see a huge increase in productivity. Not only because of the time available for writing but because I removed most of the context switching between my day job and the book.
