Alec Griffiths @alectrospace1.bsky.social · 1hThis is one of my favorite photos from this last weekend's launch activities. I have no idea whose rocket this was, but it looked pretty cool zipping by the Moon! 🚀🌗 010
Alec Griffiths @alectrospace1.bsky.social · 10hThis is a short video of my Estes "Lil' Spite" rocket shredding at Mach 1.1. Despite the energetic end, it was the first time I've ever launched a rocket faster than the speed of sound! 🚀 www.youtube.com/shorts/zqTkH...youtube.comLil' Spite rocket shreds at Mach 1.1, October 3rd 2026 #shortsYouTube video by AlectroSpace 010

Alec Griffiths @alectrospace1.bsky.social · 30/09/2026For years I thought Engineering had the warp core on the starboard side, with the huge cutaway graphic of the Enterprise-D on the port side. I was very surprised to learn the display is supposed to be forward, with the warp core aft. 131

Reposted by Alec GriffithsGene J. Mikulka @genejm1017.bsky.social · 28/09/2026So a sort of successful mission for Starship Mission 14. They didn't check all the boxes because of Raptor engine failures, but they deployed the 26 Starlink Satellites and achieved orbit, though not for as long as planned. It's clear that the Raptor engine is still a thorn in the company's side. 1307
Alec Griffiths @alectrospace1.bsky.social · 28/09/2026The aft section looked to still be afloat, at least for the moment. Depending on how long it floats, maybe they could recover those two tiles that flew on the previous flight (assuming they're still attached, of course). 010

Alec Griffiths @alectrospace1.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Onboard video footage from Orbitron Flight 14, rotated to keep the ground level. It's kind of a neat way to show the rocket's in-flight roll. 🚀 001
Alec Griffiths @alectrospace1.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Better choice of voice than Liam Neeson, in my opinion. I'm sure he did his best, but he was no Aslan. 020
Alec Griffiths @alectrospace1.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Here's a short video of Orbitron - Flight 13, which took place earlier today. This was another test flight with its IMU payload. The simulation in the lower left corner of the video was constructed from the flight data. It seems to lag a little, but it's fairly accurate. The motor was a D12-3. 🚀 000
Alec Griffiths @alectrospace1.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I finally launched my Estes 1/100th scale Falcon 9 model, and honestly it was frightening. There was only mild wind, well within the limits for most of my other models. And yet this thing arced 45 degrees and nearly face-planted on the edge of the field. Parachute worked, but still a close call. 000
