As history repeats itself we should be aware what's happening and encourage our leaders in/through Parliament to take appropriate action.

Charlatans operate in all walks of life, intentionally misleading us to take advantage, and gain money, power and influence. The Psalmist's prayer resonates with me today; "from those who are deceitful and unjust deliver me!"

When prominent political & social figures deliberately arouse anger (including faux outrage) in people, please don't come telling me they're genuine followers of the Prince of Peace - this is definitely not the Spirit of Christ

If you're in an area holding elections today, and if you value the the 7 Nolan Principles for public life: Selflessness Integrity Objectivity Accountability Openness Honesty Leadership then be careful how you place your cross today. There are plenty of charlatans on the political spectrum.

A little Bible study for my Good Friday reflections: 1. The Father's presence & pleasure - Psalm 16:11 2. The glory He had before creation - John 17:5 3. The salvation of our souls - Hebrews 2:9,10

Rarely do my Lists demonstrate the huge benefits of this Labour Government more than this one. Such improvements, based on facts and evidence cannot be disputed. I congratulate our Government.

“It's an universal law-- intolerance is the first sign of an inadequate education. An ill-educated person behaves with arrogant impatience, whereas truly profound education breeds humility.” ― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn

In my experience "The Lord told me" was occasionally used as a tool of manipulation. I had to resist it strenuously

My steps had nearly slipped. I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked ... pride is their necklace; their hearts overflow with follies. They set their mouths against the heavens, and their tongue struts through the earth. (From Psalm 73)

Casting Zelensky as the villain is typical putinesque manipulation of reality (which the new control freaks in the White House seem rather adept at). We should remember in these strange days that however many times a lie is repeated it remains a lie !

What I witnessed in the White House was the deliberate silencing and mugging, by 2 American thugs, of the heroic President of Ukraine - I am horrified, and I'm sure that all decent American people will feel thoroughly shamed by the utter disregard and disrespect of both the POTUS & his VP.

A prayer for all occasions: Lord of life, Help me to live each day quietly, easily To lean on Your strength trustfully, restfully To wait for the unfolding of Your Will patiently, serenely To meet others peacefully, joyously To face each day confidently, courageously. Amen Attributed to St Francis
