The bf and I went to Vienna and Berlin for my bday in March of 2016. We went to a really local gay dive bar in Vienna and just chatting with the bartender and someone at the bar. I mentioned the Orange one and compared him to Hitler. Both Austrians agreed with me without joking.

I drove my 2019 Leaf all back roads, to get the most mileage, had to stop three times to charge, but drove Detroit to Chicago. It's doable, but those three 45 charges just add 2 hours, plus back roads a 4.5 hour drive is 9-10 hours

I'm pretty sure I shot Oprah's old place. No one lived that and it was staged, but 58th floor of Lake Point Tower, facing the lake. All lake views! The only part of the city you could see was Navy Pier.

Drove Detroit to Chicago yesterday. Diesel is $6.50 in most of Michigan. Gas is $4.30, and that was yesterday.

Anecdotal, yes, but...I drove across rural Michigan from Detroit to Chicago today. I avoided I94 rural. I saw a total of one T sign, that had been there for 2 years. I hardly saw any houses with Mike Rogers signs, but I saw, in Jackson county, multiple home with AES signs.

In 2000, I moved to the Chicago burbs and did door to door sales of coupons (and later wall pay phones) for 9 months. It was a terrible terrible job, but I’m not scared to talk to random strangers.

A (albeit not that close, but we worked together at the dining hall in college) friend of mine was one of his employees and died on that day. But Howie there survived and his mere presence gives me heartburn knowing how many of his employees died so he lived.
