If you want to strengthen your frustration tolerance, I can recommend the Gen IV battle tower when you have two remaining ribbons and this looming over your head (: Yes, I have restarted my streak after losing battle 50/50. Again.

My dad passed away when I was a teenager. He was really proud of his garden, and one of the last plants we had of his were a pair of rose bushes (B&Q's finest over thirty years ago!!) Today they have been moved and cuttings taken, with the hopes of replanting them once the new house is built.

It's heeeeeere!! ^-^ I dropped in on a Journeymon play test game at a convention because I thought it sounded neat, and had such an enjoyable time I had to back the game. Looking forward to playing more of it! The digital version is on itch ilgingell.itch.io/journeymon

Gonna start showing off my favourite parts of my Pokémon collection with my toys! Detective Pikachu: given to me by one of my local players. Tauros: a regional exclusive in Pokémon go that I caught in Canada, now in plush form. Big Skitty: a gift from a very lovely Professor friend. (1/5)

There is a large Pikachu with a detective hat, a large fluffy Skitty, a large Growlithe, a medium sized Pikachu with a pilot uniform, an Obstagoon holding a small Delcatty with a neckerchief, a medium-sized Skitty, a small Tauros and Octillery, and a medium-sized Meowth sitting on a blanket on a chair. Partially visible sitting in front of the chair is a very large Snorlax with pyjamas and a nightcap on.

Happy birthday to my neopet, SquiddySarniaah, who I created when I was at university and bet my friend that I could stay off of tumblr longer than him. Sarniaah is now 13 years old, and is becoming a very well-read neopet - his mission is to read every book in neopia.

Learning to art Day 40 I've signed up for Team Fossils for Art Fight! This'll be my first year trying it out, and I'm hopeful it'll be a good bit of practice. And you'll see this picture there too, once I've tidied it up! You can find me at artfight.net/~Alcides

Learning to Art Day 39 Another Pokémon, a Decidueye this time. I definitely struggled with the face on this one, the expression looks more bored than I was aiming for. But I was worried the hood would be tricky and got it how I wanted first try! All that sphere practice paid off!

A pencil drawing of a gym locker room, with a row of lockers and a bench for changing. Learning to Art Day 36 This one I struggled with so much 🥲 This was the second attempt, and I just could not get my head around the proportions and foreshortening, even with a reference. I was aiming for a large deer reaching down towards the viewer, but I ended up giving up on this one for now

Learning to Art Day 35 (Day 34 was a personal piece, so you'll have to take my word for it that it exists) Another Pokémon, and a bit of practice with my fineliner pen. I decided not to outline the leaf veins, I thought they were too delicate for a full outline.

Learning to Art Day 32 There's gonna be a few Pokémon in the next few days, it's a fun theme. I'm usually using very low-detail references for these, the old-school menu sprites give me a bit of a reminder of general shape, but leave a lot to the imagination!
