Lore discussion and it's this time short and sweet, as this piece is mostly something fun and cheeky for Halloween. Still, I can’t help but pepper in some bits of lore and detail..

Rowan:
rowan trees have plenty of folk believes linked to them, but I was mainly interested in the seemingly general consensus on European folklore that it has magical potency to ward off evil. The berries also have a symbol of luck linked to them.

Otto:
This knight is often a magical creature or dream-like visitor in my pieces, and for a reason. The real Otto was someone Wreg loved dearly, but who passed away long ago (long enough that Wreg doesn’t have his scar yet). He still persists in Wreg’s memory and often taking form of his yearning for emotional and physical love in fantastical ways – however always having a black streak in his ginger hair as a reminder that he is but a part of Wreg’s mind.
