I had this idea from reading the elizabeth holmes mouse post and then I couldn't do anything else until i painted the idea to completion

I know every musician does their best shile working on games, like that's the whole point of being an artist who specializes in video games... But it's still insane to me that they asked Akira Yamaoka to do the soundtrack to Silent Hill 3 and he just made one of the greatest albums of all time.

My stupid thoughts about my experience playing Shadowbringers

"Yesterday, I finished the third expansion of the online video game Final Fantasy 14. As a game it was a fantastic experience created by a talented team of artists who put their all into the writing, world design, boss battles and dungeons, and ESPECIALLY the music which I enjoyed greatly... the overworld battle theme ruled so hard and made me enjoy engaging with the combat so much more <3! Especially as a cool darknight with all my sick and edgy animations :3

It's safe to say that I loved the game, but despite that, the whole thing was spiked with a hint of pain because of the personal journey I was going through over the almost full year it took me to complete it. Every cool, hype, or emotional moment filled me with a slight or sometimes even overbearing amount of sadness knowing that I was playing without the person who promised to go through it with me. The game had become an aching reminder that I was lied to, had my promises broken, and that I was being punished for a year straight without even knowing. Every fun cutscene, every fantastic song, no matter what underneath all my thoughts of praise for what I was seeing was the reminder that I was hurt by one of the most important people in my life for a long time. Feeling this way while reading a story that involves many characters lying and hurting their friends (specifically towards the player character) made getting through everything in one quick burst essentially impossible. The main challenge wasn't the combat, it was navigating my personal hurting.

But, yesterday I did it, and I did it with a kind friend, and with many other friends watching, and even though it's a pointless accomplishment, I am proud of myself for finally getting through it.

Thank you Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, and thank you my friends for your kindness.
