I recall reading about how many copycats were surfacing, but I didn't see how far they made it. It indeed looks a bit ridiculous. I wonder what Steam will do, if anything.

My friend recently published a chain-reaction deck-building game in #GodotEngine, and it's criminally undervalued. The core loop and progression of the game is really good, and overall a fun experience. Try it out! store.steampowered.com/app/4195030/...

This so much lol. Feels like having to kill a child that you can't feed anymore somehow, if the feature is developed enough.

Made a little Godot addon that turns special GDScript comments into "backsplashes". Makes my scripts more readable at a glance, and more fun. 🤓📝💦 Grab it here under "Hashtag Backsplash": codeberg.org/MajorMcDoom/... #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev

Is this fully custom made? Did you researched if there were previous solutions or addons? I'm not sure how many games handle this, but surely many would want to of it was easy.

I just noticed in the Credits of @blukulelestudio.bsky.social's Gambonanza, one of the names shows hearts particles when tapped, and I think it's a very cute and subte detail ☺️

😁⚡️ Exciting NEWS!! The new PinKeep trailer is out! The game changed so much over the past several months. We had to create a new trailer to make you as excited about it as we are! Check out the demo on Steam and share your thoughts!

I reworked a bit the art because I was told it was too close to skifree, but the trailer still shows it :)

This looks great! I had to go with Nuphy Air75 and silent switches myselff, because I couldn't convince my girlfriend that hearing me typing on a thocky keyboard would be better 😅. I like it a lot, but if I could, I'd still go for a thock.

TIL that the History tab in the #GodotEngine Inspector, it's not just a log of messages, it's a list of snapshots that you can click, and revert to that state! 🤯 #Godot

Just yesterday I was trying to use VSCode as an external editor for Godot, which I'm still not fully convinced. But I went with vscodium.com, and given the above, it feels more like it should be the default vs VSCode.

The plugin is already in the AssetLib!! Since the plugin stores the settings and cheatsheets globally, you can add it to any project in like 3 clicks, directly in the engine!! #Godot #GameDev #Tool

A friend of mine who runs these things always repeats something to me along the lines of "Playtests and Research isn't for telling you the right thing to do, it's to confirm to you that your assumptions are correct and that your intentions are getting through to the players" and that's stuck with me

Thank you! I definitely want to add more challenging mode, but I'm still figuring out how this will come in the game (difficulty option, unlockable modes, etc.) It's surprisingly hard to design it to make it engaging enough, without having a steep learning curve!

This is the way. I think here is where accepting tradeoffs can shine. Do you even write a "TODO" in the comment, or just fully embrace it?

I used the same approach as @heytibo.bsky.social explained in gotibo.fr/blog/fake-3d..., which gave better results that I expected. For my case, I overstretched the goggles to make it look like I wanted, and then clip to the body.

I was wasting too much time going to the specific scenarios I wanted to test in my game (even with LimboConsole), so I made a dropdown of scenarios next to the play buttons in #GodotEngine, so I just need to press F5 and that's it.

Oh, it's the adrenaline particles. They fill up your bar, but just the bar alone was hard for players to notice, so I made them go to the adrenaline bar to catch your attention. The more adrenaline you obtain, the bigger and more particles you get.

I always had the issue that in signal receiving callables I needed to declare all parameters, even though I only wanted to respond to an emitted signal, and not use the provided params. Varargs to the rescue: `signal_name.connect(func(..._ignored): …)`. Nicer and clearer 🥰 #godotengine #gdscript
