My new book Currency of Nihilism is officially out today! In it, I develop a history and theory of financial nihilism that speaks directly to the ongoing merger of digital technology with finance. Use the code SAMMAN20 for 20% off: www.sup.org/books/politi... mngbookshop.co.uk/978150364586...

What if we stopped thinking about the digital as just our devices and started understanding it as a way of mediating reality through discrete units? That's the question driving this book I co-wrote with Alexander R. Galloway, Matthew Handelman, and Leif Weatherby. www.upress.umn.edu/978151792019...

The final Japanese pressing from my recent Shinjuku shop trip - absolute classic from 1965 on Impulse with the pale blue backed cover. Sounds as good as it looks!

Found the Japanese pressing of this great album from 1982 in Nishihara, Shibuya - has dated very well with its post-punk blend of afrobeat and indie-jazz.

Not sure whether a ‘Digital Art Museum’ would really deliver but #teamLab’s Borderless at Azabudai Hills, Tokyo certainly delivers state-of-the-art spectacle. Just as fascinating here to people-watch how visitors interact with the flux of images. We’re a long way from the Lumière Brothers …. or?
