The Shekelesh, the Sherden, the Peleset, and many others sailed to Egypt and waged war against the pharaoh. But the Peleset defected to the Egyptian side, and the battle was lost. The Sea Peoples scattered in disarray. The Sherden fled to a distant island in the west, which today is called Sardinia.
