I updated my little blog's theme. It now has random colors that change each time I commit to the blog repo :). Top is before, bottom is after. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the result. You can check it out if you want: xoc3.io #blog

My 3-year-old pixelled Ultraman. I'm pretty sure this is Tiga, but not confident on that. It looked slightly more recognizable at the beginning, but then he kept scribbling away. Looking forward to more great artwork. #pixelart

mandarin is very easy to learn. here is a trivial example. this word means "gap": 空隙 and it is pronounced "kòng xì" using the pinyin system. this word also means "gap": 间隙 pronounced "jiàn xì". so what happens when you put the first character of each word […] [Original post on tilde.zone]

Popshrew, Popslash, Poporan, Poporina, Popqueen I think these ones were all tricky, not sure why. I don't consider myself a great artist, so it took a few hours while listening to some podcasts. #pokemon #pomepop #aseprite #2bit

Spearpop, Fearpop, Epans, Arpop, Pipachu, Piechu. The Fearow (sorry, Fearpop) was the hardest one here. IDK why, but it was hard to get the long beak and neck to look good in 16x16, while including the googly eyes. #pomepop #pokemon #aseprite #pixelart

I'm having too much fun with this and I don't know why I'm doing it. Caperpi, Metapop, Buterpee, Peedle, and Kapuna #pokemon #aseprite #2bit #pomepop

Would you play this game? TBH, I tried to draw a hand, then added a few eyes, and it became this. @pixel_dailies #pixel_dailies #pixelart #aseprite #32x32 #2bit #hygiene

BOTTOM: A toothbrush.
TOP: A legion of eyes attached to a conglomerate creature squeezing toothpaste perfectly onto BOTTOM.
BACKGROUND: Checkerboard
OFFSCREEN: What you don't see is an angry mother telling her son to stop playing with Catsup...

And followup... I keep making tweaks to my core palette. Just made a few more tweaks, so here is the same image, but with 256 different color combinations.

256 big cacti and 256 mini cacti.

Blue, green, red, and gray ones! Delish.

Was a bit bored today, so I spent some time redoing a pixel daily from December last year. The red one is the original, and the green one is my redo.

A red cactus in a red sunset wondering if it will ever make a friend.

A green cactus staring at its friends in the distance, wondering if they are red.

I made some concept art for a fantasy-fantasy console. Which means a fantasy console that doesn't exist yet, but I want to make it. Called "oncon". It would have a 2-bit 128x128 pixel screen. First class 2-player support. 64kb cartridge. And further specs are […] [Original post on tilde.zone]
