Disappointing to see @manchesterpride.bsky.social make a decision to allow the Labour Party to save face and not get booed in public by banning all parties, including the LDs and Greens who actually stand up for trans rights, and have openly trans and non-binary elected councillors in Manchester.

At this week's council meeting I spoke out in favour of building more affordable and social homes in Manchester. In a shocking discovery, only 17% of so-called 1,018 "affordable" homes built in the last 2 years meet the council's own definition of affordable.

Pleased to see the assisted dying bill advance to a 3rd reading. It's noteworthy that a large number of MPs voting in favour were reticent to say how they were voting, think there is a 'quiet liberal' crop of new MPs cautious of reactionary attention.

My annual rant against a feminist campaign. We don’t need to “ask her to stand” We need to “make it feasible for her to stand” We do that by reforming council chambers and parliament to not be geared to the lives of men with supportive partners. Fix the systemic misogyny so she wants to stand
